Normally I just ask or she tells me that it’s time but for some couples the spankee starts to misbehave or do ‘naughty’ things until the spanker decides that they deserve to be punished.
You could try being a bit bratty; get up to a little mischief (hide one shoe of her favourite pairs of shoes, tell her that her favourite perfume smells like it’s gone off or tease her a little bit in some other way). As long as she has a good sense of humour and you don’t take it too far, she’ll probably be a bit mad and you can tell her that she can spank you for it if she wants to. I’m a brat (and my hubby likes that I’m a brat) but there are limits to my bratting: turning off his gaming mouse or taking a battery out of the TV remote? Fun. Damaging property or being really mean and insulting? Not cool. Have fun with it!

I’ve never understood why cane is treated differently. My OH thinks it’s the sting plus a lady holding it somehow meant time for business.

Thanks to @Tenshadesandme, had a great time with her yesterday. I stuffed her knickers in her heels along with a note saying whoever did this deserves a good spanking
