Ball gag - plastic vs rubber

I'm looking into a ball gag but wonder whether to buy a PVC breathable one like this;

a rubber ball like this;

I think I've talked myself into the rubber one but my reasoning is this - when the ball is in your mouth and your teeth rest against the material - I think the rubber will be more forgiving. And, the wearer can 'bear down' onto the rubber? The breathable one will induce drooling too (and he's not into that).

Thoughts? Suggestions? Preferences?

Eeek - anyone have either? Can comment on the pro/cons?

I personally prefer rubber, mainly because - as you've mentioned - it's good to bite down on.

I also find the holes in a breathable gag a little off-putting - to my mind it makes it less of a gag (if that makes any sense!)

Yarp, kinda goes rubber if you want muffling - reduced noise, biting down, etc. - and plastic if you want drooling and/or the wearer has issues with restricted breathing and doesn't want to feel 'blocked'.

Thanks afraidnotscared, KG and BB - for now I'm using rope as a gag but I think I might ave to buy both! My indecisiveness ruins me (and my bank balance)

I have a rubber ball gag.

they are comfy on the wearers side because of the bite

plus as theyre solid they would be easier to sanatize then a plastic one with holes in.
