Me and my wife started to practice anal a few years ago. She wasn't enjoying it much but we ended up trying it again about 6 weeks ago and now she is starting to enjoy it a lot. It's beginning to be a regular thing now for us. We are using durex play tingling lube but I don't seem to be "feeling much" around my penis. Maybe I am using too much??? Are there any other lubes out there that we could try? Or if anybody has experience in this could you please help.
I really don't like durex lubes so we may have very different ideas of what makes a good lube but I'll throw in a couple of suggestions anyway.
I would imagine that using durex lube you'd have to apply quite a bit to prevent it drying up. I'd suggest one of these two lubes:
Pjur back door relaxing anal glide http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17606 is a silicone-based lube which should make anal sex more relaxing for your wife without numbing her or desensitising you. Be careful not to get the back door spray which is desensitising though. Silicone-based lubes are great for anal because they don't dry out like water-based lubes and they make things much smoother (it's not called back door glide for no reason!). It is safe to use with condoms but if you plan to use it with silicone sex toys, you'd be better with a water-based lube so you don't ruin your toys.
My favourite lube (and the only one I use now) is liquid silk http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=7163 . It's water-based so safe to use with condoms and all sex toys but it has a touch of silicone which helps to keep it from drying up and makes it super silky. If you want one lube for everything then this would be my top suggestion. It doesn't have any relaxing/numbing/desensitising ingredients so it shouldn't effect your pleasure at all.

Liquid silk is very good, but Maximus is by far the best.
If there are no silicone toys involved, my favourite is a silicone based lube, but the one we use is not sold on LH, but the composition is fairly similar to this one http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17606%20 . I'd say go for this one, it's the one I'll buy when we finish the bottle we have at the moment.

I would stay away from any tingling/waming or cooling lubes anally aswell as 'numbing' anal lubes and would stick to a regular water based lube like Liquid Silk or Maximus.
I found the maximus one best for us, the love honey anal lube gave me a burning sensation and not in a good way, I think I'm allergic to the aloe in it x
