With the weather in the UK at peak boiling point, as the title suggests I'm looking for reccomendations of where I can wear the bare minimum (a thong, so not fully nude!) on the beach without offending anyone. Somewhere South East and not too far from smoggy London town would be a bonus.
Whilst being able to get out in the garden without being overlooked is great, somewhere to cool off by the sea wouldn't go amiss!

Interested in this too... although at a beach recently I saw a female wearing a thong so surely a man could too!
How about beaches with a nudist stretch? Knoll Beach Dorset is one I know.
It seems to still be a bit of a taboo for men to wear thongs to the beach here in the UK compared to places like the mediterranean and some beaches the the US where there are appropriate places to wear them and no one bats an eyelid. Totally get that some people don't like it, but I feel that more men wear thongs as underwear nowadays (hurrah) and appreciate that it's ok for men to wear slightly more exciting underwear than standard pants and boxers too.
I'll regularly sunbathe in the garden wearing one as we're not overlooked and it helps for an all over tan, but it would be nice to be able to do this at a beach where I can swim too.
I'll wear them to the beach in places like Greece, but I'd still feel a bit like I'm offending people if I did this at a beach in the UK. I'm obviously not talking about going to a family beach... but not necessarily looking for nudist beaches either to go the full monty and where I'll stand out for not being nude!
Either way, it's great to see more guys trying thongs as underwear or swimwear and them catching on in popularity.
Cant really say but Budleigh Salteraton is a place where you wont be bothered as part of it is for nudist though i have never seen anyone use that part of the beach, this has always been great for our shenanigans
Can honestly say no-one will be bothered if you wear a thong at any beach in the UK, you may get some looks but only in the same way you would wearing Speedos or if a female was wearing a thong. If your concerned about offending people you can go to a nudist beach but in all honesty if someone gets offended by your choice in bathing attire they need to grow up....

Agreed. France generally okay, though more for speedos than thongs. Solution is probably hire a place with a roof terrace, though some of them can be overlooked.
If I was Leo, I would look for a nudist beach in your area, you don't have to be fully naked a thong is Ok to wear and you will come across others who don't want to go the full naturist thing but want to wear as little as possible. If you Google Naturists UK, you will find d a directory of naturist beaches. Good Luck and enjoy the sun 🌞
