Hi,

Just a quick question as I have noticed that some people have mentioned that they write blogs.

I was wondering how to start and the best sites to use. Not necessarily entirely about sex.

Any advice would be useful :)

Seconded! How about the cheapest paid for ones?

I had a friend years ago who spent all her spare time doing a blog (not sex related) and one day it was suddenly just shut down by the host and she lost everything she had been working on. Ive heard that can happen with free blogs which must be a right pain!

Wordpress is great for written blogs, a lot of companies even use it and it can be either free or paid for advanced oprions.
I however use Tumblr which is more image related than it is written.

I've started on my own blog on wordpress, I use it for free until my blog gets going and then if it works out I might pay for additions. However, you may not struggle but I'm confused by how to customize my site. Uploading images and posting is easy but everything else is a little too techy for me X

wordpress is the way ahead, so much easier to use and much more you can do with it.

I also use Hostgator, which I pay monthly for and again, it's been the best host out of 4 I have used over the years.

Also - most people with a blog will advertise it on their Lovehoney profile as we ask users to refrain from repeatedly posting their blog on the forum.

Take a look around the regular members profiles you will stumble across quite a few bloggers :)

Being self hosted is the best option, as others have said wordpress is really good; however they can and will just shut you down randomly, so if you're wanting to do a free blog first, I'd back up everything in documents.

If you have affiliate links on free blogs as well, they don't really like it; and will again shut you down (Especially if it's sex related)

I started off with a free blog at first, but I quickly became bored of how limited it is, in terms of how I wanted it to look ect. And went self hosted soon after. x
