Blue pills for recreational use?

My husband has been given two 50mg Viagra tablets by a friend who told him that they are great for long duration sex sessions. My husband is up for trying it as his mate told him it gave him an erection for over two hours. I am worried about any side affects and related problems from drug taking. What do my LH friends think? Should we try it?

@Love Stud Too, it’s a no no unless your hub is suffering from ED. Even a person with ED suffered much side effect after consuming it. Headache (like a hangover) and heart burnt are usually seen after a day or less. It’s not worth it. People with ED has no alternative. One other consideration to note. If your hub has below average BP then it is dangerous for his heart. Pill will brings his BP further downwards. It may be so low that he forgets to breathe when he sleeps. A person with ED consuming 50mg pill could wakes the little one up anytime up to 12 hours. Some people experienced more. Try something safer which are available at LH.

Apparently it’s the two hour plus erection which is the attraction. So a man can cum then continue. I quite like the sound of such a long session but worry about drug use and my husband’s health. His friend bragged about having a wonderful time with his wife so you can understand that my husband is now keen to try it.

I use sildanafil (Viagra) on prescription for ED caused initially by a low testosterone level.

It works for me and I am fortunate in that I only have mild side effects from its use. It does not, however, allow me to maintain an erection immediately after an orgasm.

After taking the tablet I experience some light headedness and ocassionally a very slight headache afterwards.

I know that, for some users however, these symptoms can be much worse.

If I did not need the medication I certainly would not be taking it recreationally so I too would advise against it.

As a side note I actually get less benefit and a worse headache from the use of Cialis, a supposedly more effective and more expensive alternative to sildanafil.

Slightly similar situation - ages ago (like 15 years) my husband's mate gave him a couple of 'Vs' but I was reticent, for the above reasons. It's always a bit dodgy taking someone else's medication or something that hasn't been prescribed specifically for you. So, in the end we didn't use them.

However, my husband does like the Zuyosa products (https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/search/?q=zuyosa) which give him a stronger, thicker erection, increase sensation and enable him to go for longer, with a pretty quick refractory period, like, 15 minutes (he's 52 so I don't think that's bad at all!). So far he's only used the pack of four but he recently said he might get the bottle of 60 capsules. That might be a good solution if you don't want to risk the 'little blue pills'. He does sometimes get a small headache but this is usually avoided by keeping well hydrated.

I've no experience of these myself, but they're avaible without prescription now (though you'd still need a pharmacist to sign off). There's quite a bit of info available about side effects, dos and don'ts, etc. I'll link the Boots page, though I'm sure other pharmacies will have similar.

Must admit I’ve tried it myself several times while in my 20’s (in my 30’s now), despite not suffering with ED. I understand your concerns completely, and I know it’s obviously advised not to take without proper medical advice. Luckily the only negative side effect I’ve ever had personally is a bit of a headache. To the people wondering why someone without ED would take them, well to be honest, they make you SUPER horny, also erection will be harder than usual, as well as being able to carry on after orgasm. I certainly would’ve take them regularly though. I’ve probably taken it about 6 times

We have used them on occasion for weekends that we were planning to stay in bed.

If you start with the lower strength pills then you can find your comfort zone, do you really want to stay erect for 2 hours? (Ignorining the heath issues with havining an erection for that period)

Don't know about staying erect after coming as I can do that normally but it does mean if you are tired and OH gets frisky it is easy to get erect again.

I wen to the doctor's to get a health check before taking them so knew that heart, etc was up to it.

For me the side effects were headache and bunged up nose but we had some good weekends.

As they affect blood pressure, you should proceed with caution.

You are correct that Viagra lowers blood pressure, however a person who is Hypotensive will not forget to breath during the night.

Once taken, an erection can last anything up to 6 hours, once a climax has occured the erection will fade. Prolonging an erection for a long period of time is not advisable, as it could lead to penis tissue damage.

Taking a pill from some one, other than a pharmacist is not a good idea. Where did it originate from? Is it a genuine tablet?

Thanks for all the sensible advice LH friends. My husband is having second thoughts. It obviously sounded good to him when his friend gave him the two pills. He was oblivious about side effects which are concerning. As he wanted to use them for recreational purposes as he doesn’t have ED it’s too risky so he won’t be indulging. I am so relived!!!

In my personal opinion, it seems like people in this thread could be seen as being a little over cautious (I don't think I've ever heard of viagra causing someone to forget to breath in their sleep). I do think it's a great thing that you've wanted to look into all angles of it before taking having your husband take it though. From my perspective, you can practically get them over the counter now and as long as you are sensible and know your body, they can be enjoyable. I've taken some before due to having some PE issues and found that while I didn't have a continuous errection for the duration (about four hours), I was able to get aroused again quickly after ejaculation. This made multiple sessions an option which isn't possible otherwise. As for side effects, in my own experience, they have made me a little stuffy when they wear off but that only lasted an hour or so. If you drink lots of water before then I don't think the head aches will be as much of an issue.

I have tried viagra, twice, both times, had a very good hard lasting erection.

Took longer to come and comed harder and went soft straight away.

Soon recovered and was hard again and performed well for a second time.

I did encounter a bit of a headache and tingling in my hands and feet, which was a bit worrying, it was fun but I wouldn't take them again unless I had had a check up with my doctor

FYI - a person who is prescribed with sildenafil are advised to monitors his heart for abnormal behaviour, especially heart pain and discomfort. In my country, sildanafil pills are controlled drug and cannot he purchased off the counter.

I have wondered, after you cum (after taking a viagra) do you go through the normal stages of post orgasm torment and overstimulation if you keep trying to thrust after orgasm? Or can you just pump away and cum and orgasm until your legs/hips/arms etc get tired?

As a former Emergency Medical Technician I really encourage everyone to not take ANY perscription that was not perscribed for them by their doctor . I knew friends that would get the blue pill from another guy to enhance their performance without telling their wives . One buddy in particular irritated me the most . He had some health issues and his wife is a surgical nurse . First rule is have your doctor write it , if they confirm you are healthy enough . Number two is tell your partner , so they know what to look for as far as problems . So if there are problems they can relay information to emergency medical people . I used the pills many years ago "for fun" with a perscription from my doctor . I had basically no side effects . But a 25 mg dose put my performance "up" about 50% . For me it would strengthen my errection and kept me from cuming as quickly as normal . One night I took 50 mg and oh my ! I can safely say I have never had such an outstanding erection with staying power along with the highest volume of cum in my life . Note , back then no matter what doseage you got , over here they were $10 a pill . So those in the know got 100 mg pills and a pill cutter . So I halved them and then quartered them . If I had an active wife , I would probably get a new perscription . " Sex responsably"

It seems to me that you can find a safer drug to use. Especially since this medication has a long list of side effects, which are common in patients. I think you and your husband should think through the pros and cons. Personally, I would choose another way, safer in the long run. There are a large number of medications now in this group. So if you really need one, look at all the analogues here at aptekastore.com. But before you do that, see a doctor and make recommendations. Or get an examination to begin with.
