I saw sex box on tv last night and they were suggesting that couples could try massaging each other with their bodies instead of hands. There was genital contact even though there was no penetration, so I'm assuming it would be safer to wear a condom if you were trying this and not on the pill or anything? Would it be safe to use a condom and a massage oil to try this as long as no penetration was involved (as I know oils can damage condoms)?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I just want to be sure as an unplanned pregancy for me would be a total disaster so we tend to be extra careful.
I can understand you wanting to be super careful, but I can't see why condoms would be needed (unless of course you're sliding your vagina back and forth against the length of his penis, flat against his stomach? - didn't see the programme)... Could always switch positions and slide your body up and down his in the 69 position, with his penis between your boobs? He'd get an amazing view and a titw*nk at the same time ;)
I was watching this last night as well and its something we want to try . Perhaps the only worthwhile bit of the programme .
Looking at the vidio in the background whilst they were talking about this technique it showed the lady massaging her guys back using the body rub technique . so basically its her front to his back so to speak. I don't think there is a big chance of getting pregnant doing it that way .Like wise the guys front to the ladies back would have the same sort of minimal risk. Front to front then if both of you are unprotected then there would be a slight risk . You best bet IMO for front to front would be for either you or him to wear a small thong just for that bit. Condoms like you have said don't react well to massage oils .We won't be protected when we do this because we are of the age where pregnancy will be very difficult.anyway.

I remember trying that product years ago and I'd never get it again! It wasn't a very good lube and it just felt cold and tacky when used for massage. The programme suggested things like scissoring as well which was the part I thought condoms would be needed for (and that's the only form of contraception I'm able to use unfortunately).
Just thought of another idea for front to front massage. I must stress I havn't tried this but think a little outsdie the box. You could very much in the same way as the 69 position , if your fella is on his back you could place your rear or sit staddling his chest and perhaps instead of pelvic to pelvic area you could massage his member with your boobs and therefore avoid any leakages in your vulnerable area ,Doing it this way neither of you would need any protection .
Lots of people prefer using silicone lube instead of massage oil. Have you considered this instead?
It's long lasting and won't damage your condoms.
Otherwise, I know that Lovehoney are looking into Nuru massage lubes at the moment, which are specifically designed for body-on-body massage and are water-based. Keep your eyes peeled!
@ Sex Squid & Mysteron - great idea! Sounds fun...
@ Jess - I hadn't actually, I thought silicone lubes weren't condom safe for some reason but now I realised that many of them are. The Nuru stuff sounds interesting, I'd like to try that.

Ooooh, this is very exciting! We were given a sample of Nuru gel at Sexpo last year - it is an amazing product :) xx

Agreed, we regularly use this as a lube for sex but it would be useless for a massage.
It was a major omission in the program I think that contraception was not mentioned (they took a vote on whether the couple would end up having penetrative sex).
When we needed to use condoms we used a good massage oil and kept parts well away from each other,

Oooh that stuff is soooo tasty!! I can't remember the consistency very well though.
Your other option would be to go for something you mix up yourself so you can customise the viscosity. Something like Male Cobeco Powder Lubricant is great for this.
And silicone lubes are compatible with all materials, except silicone so you can definitely use it alongside condoms. It makes a really great massage lube too, just becuase it lasts so long.
Its concentrated so in fact that bottle is equivalent of about half a litre of oil when mixed with water. So it should last. The only other thing you would need to get is probably a dedicated small bowl or jug to mix your components and then apply from .
I think I may wait for the bigger bottle as the weather gets warmer the more massages we tend to give each other. Its something we can give each other during the working week as well as it doesn't have to lead to sex .
Best oil ever for any massage techniques is coconut oil, we've tried and tested it many times now, totally safe everywhere, and I mean everywhere, as far as I know even with condoms, tastes quite nice too!! Believe me you will never need anything else!!

I have tried the Vanillla version and it was SO tasty. Consistency is not very sticky however it doesnt last as long as you would like I don't think. Silicone would be a lot better suited
