Breast augmentation surgery

Hi, I had a breast augmentation surgery three years back. Now, I am four months pregnant with twins. I like to breastfeed my kids after the delivery. Is it possible for a woman who had undergone a breast augmentation surgery to breastfeed her kids? I have read a blog ( http://www.breastandtummytuck.com/blog/breast-augmentation/can-i-still-breastfeed-after-breast-augmentation-surgery/ ) that there is no harm in breastfeeding. What do you people think? Will the milk production be less? Is there any method to enhance the milk production?

Hi congrats with your twins sorry i carnt help xxxxx there will be loads off friendly people on here to help xxxx

It depends on the placement of the implant, apparently if it's behind the muscle then it's fine. The best thing to do would be to ring your surgeon/clinic and ask.

It's great that you want to breastfeed 😃 Check out the 'evidence based breastfeeding support' group on Facebook, they pretty much know EVERYTHING and I know several of them have breast implants. They'll be very helpful when your bubbas arrive too.

Congratulations on your pregnancy 🙂

It also depends on where the scar is. Round the nipple makes it harder to feed. I agree that discussion with your surgeon is important too.

Best people to ask is a doctor/consultant :)
