I put a brand new battery in it, it was just a cheap wilkinsons battery. (When i say cheap, it was 50p for a 4pack). I think I was using the vibrator for like an hour. When I went to turn it on last night (2/3 nights after first use), the battery was completely dead. I only used it once. Is it because it's just a cheapy battery? Or is it because you're supposed to take the batteries out between uses? Or is that just how fast vibrators drain batteries? 
I always remove the batteries from my toys when not in use. I dont have experience with this specific toy to know if it is just a "power hog" but I guess I have always been "told" the toys last longer if you take the batteries out between use.

+1 always advisable to remove coz even when it's powered off it will still use em up x
It's also worth looking what chemical your battery uses. Alkaline are pretty good, lithium are longer lasting and zinc should be avoided wherever possible. It's also worth noting that generally, rechargeable batteries are slightly thicker than single use cells. As such, rechargeable ones may get stuck. It's always good practice to remove the battery after use. Or, get ones with built in power; usb or mains chargeable FTW.
Okay, thanks guys! I'll try just taking them out between uses and see if they last longer, if the batteries still drain quickly I'll buy better batteries :) x
What type of battery was it? Zinc Chloride or Alkaline. Zinc batteries don't last hardly an time where as you will get far longer out of an Alkaline battery
you are supposed to take batteries out of vibrators mainly because batteries can leak and corrode the terminals leaving you with a dead toy i did have that issue with a vibe i don't use often luckily no bad dameage and a toy i can still use
Cheap batteries generally don't work as well, and I wouldn't use rechargeables because you wont be getting the full power from the toy in most circumstances, plus the size issue sometimes causes problem
I am using zinc ones, so i'll use them up and buy better ones then. I never thought a vibrator would be this much hassle lol, i just thought batteries were batteries

I thought that too haha! But I bought a rabbit vibrator and you can really tell how the batteries drain if you leave them :P and yep quality batteries arr key. I remember when I was a nusance and emailed lovehoney to say my small vibrator broke, but really I must have been using awful batteries because on my 4th battery change it finally worked!
My OH's bullet (not this one) does drain the battery quite quick, but we also found that it makes a BIG difference to either remove the battery, or unscrew the end cap enough so that its not making connection (or you can open it and put a piece of paper between the battery and the spring).
Not sure why toys that are 'off' are still drawing from the batteries, but to be safe we always remove batteries from toys now and they do seem to last a lot longer!

No problem as long as they are Alkaline, so even ones from the pound shop should be OK just make sure it has alkaline printed on the battery, also there should be no need to remove them when not in use, I've had some in a toy for over a year and they're still fine, just make sure it's properly off. Alkaline batteries are also much much less likely to leak even if abused.

Agree! Bullets are a pain in the arse because of batteries, but since getting the Tracey Cox Rechargable Bullet I no longer have to deal with that problem :)
