Bunny not looking good.

I have a rabbit vibe that my boyfriend got me from Ann Summers about 2 years ago. Its purple and looks like a cactus. (hope that iv got that right) I dont use it that often because for me it was abit painful if not well lubed. I used it not long ago for a change and I put a condom over it to help it slide in but now the rubber is peeling off the spiky bits and rabbit ears (I know if id got it from love honey wouldnt have that problem) Any ideas on how to provent this in the future and stop my rabbit vibe peeling?

jelly vibes dont usually do great with any other type of rubber or latex near them. i would honestly suggest changing your vibrator. i find rabbits uncomfortable myself so dont buy them anymore. i prefer to buy separate vagina and clitoris stimulators and use them together

i find my jelly cock rings etc tend to "melt" when they touch anything else, which is why i now store everything in separate cotton bags

hope this helps. x

Yeah, it's likely that it's having a chemical reaction with the materials that were in the condom. In the future, just use (water-based) lube and it shouldn't happen again. To me, lube is worth every penny, you just can't pay enough for pain-free sex/toy sessions/whatever. If you need plenty of lube to make your toys slide inside comfortably, then use it! :)

poppy904 is right - some materials react with each other but particularly rubber, latex, pvc and jelly plastic.

When these materials react, they produce melting, peeling and discolouring which doesn't look too great and can cause problems if you still use your sex toys afterwards too!

It's always a good idea to store your sex toys separately, only use condoms on porous sex toys (mainly ones made of 'realistic' materials) and always use compatible lubricants.

There's a great blog about http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/blog/2009/06/18/sex-toy-storage/ and you can return your broken rabbit to LoveHoney and get a http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/rabbit-amnesty/! Ace!
