Does anyone have a preference to which stopper they prefer?
I think the most comfortable would be a T/Anchor as Silicone/Jelly. Are there pro’s or cons to one over the other?

I have a few butt plugs but started with jelly ones now I’ve got a few different kinds if you’re trying them for the first time I would suggest jelly ones and remember use quite a bit of lube 
It depends what you are trying to achieve. T bar bases are generally going to be more secure and more comfortable for longer wear, however many plugs with such bases can be a little long for people with a vulva, meaning if they want to combine their plug with any kind of vaginal penetration, it can get in the way.
Circles, stars, hearts, flowers are all cute and generally more aesthetically pleasing.
Silicone is more flexible and forgiving than metal and glass but you’ll need to reapply lube more often with it. Depending on the finish on the silicone, it may chafe faster than other materials.
Metal and glass have a very different feel, because of the hardness, temperature and weight. This can lead to different sensations.
I wouldn’t use anything called jelly as it isn’t a specific material so could be made of anything but it usually porous and smell awful (smell is the chemicals coming out)

For longer or solo use T bar all the way it is so much more comfortable. If I’m with my partner and it is just help me stretch out a little bit, I will use one of my round based ones with a jewel in it for this I do prefer metal.

For myself it’s always a metal T bar preference.
Once you’re comfortable with the size of the plug, circles and hearts always feel as if you’re going to lose them inside you (at least, that’s the feeling I get). With a T bar you can relax knowing the plug is secured… That and the fact they make inserting and removing the plug so much nicer!
The weight of the metal is kinda sexy to me, added to the cleaning and feel of smooth metal, it’s my definite go to.

T bar stoppers are definitely my go to for anything anal as I worry incase a round base would vanish up there too lol 
T/Anchor As my ass kinda eat it it all once there isn’t a stopper.

I often read on here people worrying about round base butt plugs disappearing up there bum, has this ever happened ?, as we have both used various butt plugs over the years, keeping them in for a while or just in while we’re having intercourse and never once has this been an issue
It can happen, yes. Obviously, if it were happening too regularly then they would stop being sold, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening at all.
There are a lot of factors as to whether or not you’d have a problem including how big the base is compared to the widest point of the toy, whether it is you usual plug size, width of the stem, length of the stem, firmness of the material, what you are doing, what position you are in texture of the material etc

T bar (anchor) bases are far more comfortable for longer term wear. Especially if you are going to walk around with it in.
