Can't decide if I am gay!

Hello All,

My name is Max, I’ve just joined so wanted to introduce myself and ask you all for your opinion on something.

I’m 47 Years old from Manchester (UK). I’m a lonely guy and I masturbate daily. My question is I get aroused by Transsexual, Femboy and Cross Dresser Porn. Make me think naturally I am gay. I met up with 3 men on separate occasion for sexual encounters but each time I couldn’t get aroused. In your opinion am I gay or not?

Does it really matter what label you give yourself?

I have been very happily married to a women for over 50 years. We have a very active and experimental sex life.

I wear women’s underwear permanently, I crossdress regularly, I am aroused by gay, sissy and trans girl porn and I love being pegged.

I am not physically or sexually attracted to men but I would love to have a real penis in my mouth and my ass.

I’m not sure what my label would be but I’m honestly not interested in having a label either.

The type of porn you watch isn’t necessarily an indication of what you want in real life. There are lots of people who are turned on by porn or fantasies that they wouldn’t want in real life at all. There are a lots of fantasies that I have which I definitely wouldn’t want to actually do! Your sexuality is not defined by your choice of porn but by who you are attracted to both romantically and physically in real life. Sexuality is a really broad spectrum and it can change over time so don’t rush to put a label on yourself.

Welcome to the forum Max!

Why need to put a label on it?! Are you still attracted to women? Maybe you are just Bicurious :upside_down_face:

ultimately just enjoy being who you are regardless of labelling it :raising_hands:t3:

Hello and welcome Max,

One thing I will say, maybe attraction for you is less about what they are and more about how they are? I’m bsexual myself but some and women just don’t do it for me - I like intelligence, a good sense of humour and someone who is not obsessed with their appearance. I’d keep an open mond and what will be, will be

I just found it confusing that I liked it in the fantasy realm but was turned off in the physical realm

@MaxPower welcome to the forum. My partner transitioned to Male, we’re still together and I do not define myself as Gay because of our relationship. Be who you are, enjoy what you enjoy toss all the boxes away.

Thank You all for constructive and non judgemental responses.

I think you’re all right, it doesn’t have to be labelled

Hey @MaxPower, I’d say not. I do equally echo what Rockstar said, who needs labels

And a very welcome to the forum

I can relate to a lot of what you said. I watch all kinds of different porn, including gay and some trans stuff. I know that I’m romantically and sexually attracted to women, but do have some sexual attraction towards men. I definitely have fantasies about having oral and anal sex with a man, but when I really think about it, it might be one of those things that are better left as a fantasy, especially now that I’m married.

Before I was married, I did do some cam to cam chatting with guys and jerked off with them, but it never progressed to actually meeting up with a guy, even though I definitely thought about it.

I think that the label that I most identified with was heteroflexible, but I agree with others that it’s not important to label it if you don’t want to.

I would say no as in other posts you have said that you get aroused by womens feet, also that you use prostitutes for sex and i am guessing that they are women. I think its telling that most things seem to get you aroused apart from when you met up with the guys when you didnt.

@Wood-Nymph Maybe you’re right as all responses have believed im not Yeah the prostitutes were all women. Regarding meeting up with those men it was with the intention of having sex as following the transsexual porn I thought I was gay. That being said when I tried a few times trying to masturbate over normal gay porn (that that I mean no Transexual, Femboy or Crossdresser) I couldn’t get around either. When it was “Manly” men I did nothing for me.

The crazy thing When I met up with 3 men was they were hard but they couldn’t get their socks in my bum. It’s like my cheeks were refusing to open and they 2 of them even tried lube :joy:. It was both funny and embarrassing for me.

@MaxPower Welcome to the forum.

Why pigeon hole yourself with a tag, just enjoy what you enjoy.

@DLJL That has been the concensus. I guess I was just wondering if I was.

Hi @MaxPower welcome to the forum!

I can’t help but notice the above comment. Please make sure to always use lube for anal - the anus is not self lubricating, so lube is essential to prevent injuries from occurring!

I agree with the other comments in here - you don’t necessarily need to label it, just be yourself. I am very similar to yourself. I get aroused when watching gay, trans, sissy type porn - to be honest I just get aroused every time I see a penis. I have questioned this most of my life however what’s different for me is when I’ve had the few encounters, around 12 in total with both men and transgender women (with a penis) I get aroused. It took me a little to get into it each time - don’t know if that was a societal thing I struggle with (for some reason there’s a voice in my head which says this isn’t normal and you shouldn’t be doing this - something I need to work on) but the second I saw the penis I was fully aroused and ready to go. The issue I then had afterwards was a weird feeling of guilt, shame and embarrassment- again something I need to work on and something I have spoken about with a therapist about. Am I bisexual or pansexual I’m not entirely sure and for me it doesn’t really matter. I am attracted to all people but it’s something I have only just accepted recently.

My question to you is - do you think there is a blocker for you from enjoying yourself when you are with men? Perhaps you should try sitting down and talking with the guy (before having sex) to build up that connection which could help arousal. I’m 37 and we sadly grew up at a time where there was lots of stigma and stereotypes. I look at the younger generation and glad to see things are much more open and encouraged which is great (it’s still not perfect but than 20 years ago). My advice is - if you’re still curious keep trying or try different scenarios, like going to a LGBTQ+ bar or club, speak to lots of different people and see how you respond when it’s not always just about sex. Best of luck hut know you are not alone. ps I’m in a straight relationship of 10 years and have 2 kids, and only coming to grips with my sexual orientation over the past 5 years. To be honest i struggle with this daily but accepting as time goes on. And besides sex toys nowadays are great haha

@Sharps I wouldn’t say there is a blocker, it was just a simple case of no arousal at all during all 3 encounters. Be it just kissing or cuddling there was nothing.

I’m 65 and just recently admitted to my OH that I like and get off on gay, bi men, trans porn. Would I take it further? probably not, but it certainly revs my engine. Don’t label yourself, enjoy what you enjoy. Who knows something may materialise out of the blue, I was actually asked out on a date by a guy from the gym I use, I was flattered but had to turn him down, but guess what I did when I got home and thought of what could have occurred. My OH thought this was brilliant.

Perhaps you enjoy the thought of it more than the actual act. I’m no specialist but my advice would be if you’re still curious keep trying if you aren’t the you don’t have too. Tried not to read too much into it. We are all complex, individual creatures so just be yourself!! Best of luck!!
