So yesterday I used my Micro Magic Wand Vibrator for the first time and while I loved using it I really disliked how hard it was to clean the ridges, especially since it's not waterproof. Today, however, I read in one of the reviews of the toy that it is possible to take the white cap off. I've gone through the instructions that came with the toy but it doesn't say anything about being able to take the cap off or how to do it. Now even though I've cleaned my toy two times (leaving the cleaner on without rinsing the second time as my bottle doesn't tell me to rinse but just whipe it dry) I still don't have a good feeling about it so I would love to be able to take the cap off and clean it again.
SO, long story short - I have two questions about cleaning wand vibrators;
1. If it's indeed possible then how do I take the cap of the Lovehoney Micro Magic Wand Vibrator off?
2. Is it also possible to take the cap of the bigger, mains powered Lovehoney Deluxe Magic Wand off? Because I was thinking about getting one but the difficulty of cleaning the ridges on the micro wand are kind of holding me back now as the bigger one also has ridges.
You can indeed take the cap off. I have done so on both the micro and the deluxe. I then squirt toy cleaner on the solid bit and generally submerse the cap in water and give it a quick squirt with cleaner. Leave to dry and reassemble carefully.
I don't do this every time though, normally just spray.
I just pinch the edge of the white cap between finger and thumb and gently ease it back off the purple stem. Not sure if you are supposed to take it off but mine has come to no harm.
@Cuddlekins: that's actually a great idea, I feel so silly for not thinking of that myself! I kind of need a new toothbrush anyway, might as well get another one especially for my wand while I'm at it :)
@BDSM-curious: Now that is a product of which I don't understand why it has been discontinued, I would have bought that in the blink of an eye really :( Maybe I should take a little trip to the 'pander to me' topic, although I doubt it'll be coming back when it's discontinued.
There are a number of attachments for the larger size wand. I have the lily pod and the nuzzle tip. They provide some different sensations for greater variety.

i would of bought it too, i don't like the ridges, I find them too harsh and abrasive. i've got http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=27353 which i can position so the flutter is away from me so i can use the side.
I must say I do like the variety of the wand attachments available for the bigger wand, definitely something to keep in mind. Do you ladies feel the attachments take away some of the vibrations? And BDSM-curious, is the flutter part of that attachment any good :)?

It does mute the vibrations a bit but as I have never got past half power with the wand alone I can simply up the power a bit. Slowing things down a bit adds to the variety too, otherwise it can be a bit " wham, bam, thank you wand"
Ahh, well seems the numbing shouldn't be much of a problem for me either then :) I noticed with the micro wand that the first option was already buzzing hard enough for me so I expect I can't take the bigger wand on max for pretty long either ;)
