We thought we’d see what all the fuss was about and recently bought a Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Suction Stimulator. On the lowest setting, when positioned correctly, this can get from zero to orgasm in about 30 seconds.

While this might sound great, my OH would prefer a MUCH longer build up.

Are there any tips or alternatives to make this less powerful?

Might be an unusual request, but at the current level, this isn’t coming out.

If she likes the sensation of the suction but just wants a little less, I guess you can keep trying out some more options?

I wish I could give more specific recommendations from our experience (wife loves her Womanizer toys) when we received a Rose to review my wife didn’t think it had enough power to get there to climax at all and had to switch to her Womanizer Pro40 to finish off. I think that was a Rose from before all the brands were kind of consolidated, so maybe it’s better now, but our experience was that the Rose was a bit week.

Of the others that we have, here’s the short take on her rating:

  • Womanizer Pro40: “the original” for her. Her hot take was that it feels like the orgasm is being pulled out of her and she loves to fight against it and drag it out. Her favorite and go-to for solo play.
  • We-Vibe Melt: her go-to for partnered use. Not as immediately powerful and more room to play with 12 speeds vs 8 on the Pro40. Different shape of head might be part of it.
  • Romp Shine: Sent as a tester. Got her there. Gentler than either and required a lot more moving the head to masturbate her clit in addition to the suction.
  • Womanizer Duo 2: Her favorite for when she has to travel alone and avoid risking a dildo in the security line. Plenty of power range with the speeds.
  • Rose: Didn’t cum. Boo. It’s still in the bottom of the toybox, I think, but will probably never be used again. Actually, we might have thrown it out.
  • Womanizer OG: Lol. Not designed for the clit and very overpriced as a g-spot vibrator. I don’t think she notices the suction nearly as much as the vibration. Still a fun addition during oral, but doesn’t get much use otherwise.

If it’s bringing your OH to climax to quickly and I can understand and have seen it happen with a womaniser too. Might I suggest you use it as the last minute grand finale to a days worth of play. Wind her up so she’s just here and a hair pin could set her off and then home run.

Lubes might reduce the sensitivity as you say you are using it on its lowest setting

I was looking in the lube essentials for women but couldn’t find a delay apart for women there. If anyone has seen one please help. But in the mean time there’s always the men’s delay spray it might help.

We had the same experience first time with a Womanizer Starlet on the lowest setting. Most of the times it’s used differently now, either mixed with oral, or edging or as JGood suggests for a finale on a later round. Its a good problem in my opinion

I very much enjoy low power and have various toys that get used at different stages depending on how stimulated I am.

For build ups my absolute favourite is Womanizer Next , the pucker is so slight on the first level that I could barely feel it on my finger, but on my clit its like someone nudging with their lips. The autopilot feature is immaculate. But with all this, its expensive.

For low power at a lower price, I would recommend the Mon Ami suction toy. This was my favourite for the longest time until I bought the Next.

I need clitoral stimulation to be able to orgasm and
it also made me orgasm to quickly (in a matter of seconds) but having a little play around with the different suction patterns and backing off from a continuous stimulation I can now last longer (still generally a few minutes plus it prelongs my pleasure before I orgasm)
So I can only suggest maybe have a play around with the settings or back off from a continuous stimulation
