Clone a willy - issue with the end product - help!

My partner and I did the clone a willy kit this weekend. We had tried it the weekend before and the moulding stuff set before we inserted the penis! But we managed it on saturday, which was lucky as he went away for work for a few weeks the day after! although that does mean he hasnt even seen the mold.

I am having an issue with the finished product though. It looks exact and is great but it is strangely sticky! There are some shinney patches on it and the stickiness is really gross. I washed it with soap and water and it is still like it, so i figure that cant just be the moulding stuff needing to be washed off.

can someone please tell me if it is meant to be this way or if this could be a sign that it is somehow defective? Or better still how to get rid of the stickiness?! I dont want to use it whilst it is like that as it doesnt seem right to me. I am also useless at using the internet to find stuff out... my other half usually does it!

Hi and welcome to the forums

I don't have a clue, sorry, but have you tried the live chat^^^at the top of the page.

There are some materials, like the stuff that fleshlights are made from, which do just seem to be naturally sticky. Generally with the application of lube it smooths out and you don't notice.

Alternately, if it's really bothering you, maybe consider using a condom over it? You'd have to check the material was latex free but that wont be hard.

please post the outcome if you speak to LH support or anything. we're looking to get one at some point so be interesting to know what happens.

thanks

Sounds like the rubber hasn't cured properly. When mixing the 2 parts of the rubber perhaps you didn't mix it thoroughly enough and there are patches that didn't have enough of the catalyst in it to cure the rubber fully.

I hope that's not it... what with him being away for a few weeks and all!

When i mixed it I did so for 2 mins as it said (I even set a timer!). It looked completely mixed and i do a lot of baking so i get quite obsesive about mixing thoroughly. We bought the kit last year and only just got round to it... i hope that it didnt "go off"!

If it is the bonding problem, does anyoe know if it will eventually cure or if we need to buy another kit?

I've done a couple of these, one male and one female, but never found this a particular problem. The willy kit was left a tiny bit "sticky" feeling I guess, but this was all over and I'm pretty sure that's just how the material feels.

Does it look textured? Maybe try giving it a little pick, as it could be the mould material (a thin layer) actually sticking to the finished product. This should peel away, if so.

I would also recommend cleaning it with some sex toy cleaner, or soaking it for a little while to remove any stickiness there might be. It literally could be a bit of mould that hasn't bonded right (this will happen from time to time for no apparent reason with everything, as you must know from baking!)...

Anyway if these things don't work and you don't fancy using a condom with it, I'd try contacting Lh... They'll be able to tell you what you've done wrong, or send you a replacement if the product was defective!

Oh... And welcome to the forums! x

Thanks for the welcomes by the way!

Will have a try on all of that, thanks so much. seriously not used to solving these issues by myself! I know that sounds sad and ultra non-modern, I am a modern girl but i do seem to have a 1950s housewife heart beating beneath my filthy exterior! I am pretty sure that is part of my charm as far as my OH is concerned!

will have a fiddle (in the non dirty way) with it in the morning and see what i can sort out, hopefully we wont have to do it yet again when my OH gets home... I may get a little frantic! bad enough with my partner being away and me missing him, without this sort of issue! nightmare!

Why is asking for help sad and ultra non-modern? I think its completely ok to ask for help because you cannot know everything. I consider myself to be independend, but I asked my dad for help week ago! Because I had computer problem and although I am normally perfectly able to solve it I failed this time and he is IT specialist. Does it make me on my parents depending girl? I hope not.

If I have an issue with something I have never done before and I would not be sure as what went wrong/how to solve it, I would go and ask. There is no shame in asking for help.

Forgot to say it might also be an old kit (some kits have a shelf life) or it could be defective.

Contact LH and ask their advise.

Hope you get it sorted.

I didnt mean asking for help was non modern, just the depending on the OH to do it part... I have had the odd girlie friend have a go at me about it before... I am just useless at using the internet so leave it to the OH as i can never find what i am looking for!

As for stickiness it feels wet so i think it is buggered! does the Doc Johnson stuff enable it to be, shall we say, used as intended afterwards?

dusting it with cornflour might take the stickyness off, it does with fleshlights. ( although "cornstarch is reccomended as that's the US term for cornflour)

just dust it on then brush it off, worth a try and should be body friendly.

Ok, so i spoke to a lovely lady on LH chat help. She said that it has set so the chemicals are not dangerous and recommended corn flour... so simple! have just spread corn flour on it and am going to leave it on for a little while then wash off, apparently i might have to do this a couple of times.

She said that this can happen with the clone-a-willys but that the corn flour usually sorts it... I will report back when i find out! I have to say that i was much more comfortable touching it with the corn flour coating... the stickiness was iky and rather offputting!
