I've always felt that scented candles take a lot of beating.
Scent suited the person the are going to relax and candle light is much more forgiving to anyone with a few body insecurities.

Oooh I love interior design and I'm superexcited about decorating the flat I'm moving into this autumn. I like lots of bold coloured bedding, throw cushions, minimal clutter, tall lamps and a comfy plush chair.
One of our friends turned a spare bedroom into a playroom, with a ceiling mounted swing, double futon, shaped sex chair and mirrors on all walls. It's small but very like a club playroom. Great idea but we prefer a bed for sex and romance!
We've tried to make our bedroom sexy and romantic, we have Egyptian cotton sheets on our king-sized bed, a couple of large v-shaped pillows (useful for reading in bed and good for helping several sex positions), a sexy picture behind the bed of several nude women from the rear - we tried to get a tasteful print of a couple making love but couldn't find a suitable one. Our fitted wardrobe has large mirrors alongside the bed, great for observing your sex, and the wardrobe ends in three small shelves. On these we have erotic images (a large penis, small statues of couples in several positions, our favourite sexy photos of us and friends) plus candles. We have candles on the fitted chest of drawers and a vapouriser which turns scented oil into steam; this also has changing coloured lights. When we play with swinger friends we do so by candle-light and the light of this vapoursier, with joss-sticks burning too. It's all very erotic!
In our last place we had a TV and DVD player so we could watch porn together and have it on when others joined us, but we don't in our current bedroom. We did think of a celing mirror but it proved too difficult.
