I have been known to get a bit excited when a new toy arrives and unbox it without the wife. Sometimes it’ll turn into a bit of a solo session, lock the doors, fire up a few videos and have a play with the new toy.

Wife and I are at the point in our careers that we have enough land built to take each other’s birthdays off together for a day date while the kids are in school. Usually involves usually involves a morning quickie, brunch, and the afternoon in bed, or the morning in bed, lunch, and an afternoon quickie.
I also frequently have a quick solo session on work from home days, but have never planned a whole day off for it, no.
And no judgement from me for using accrued leave as you see fit. Different fields have different demands,etc. If I take a day off the only issue is catching up the next day on whatever I ignored.

I’d not pull a sickie but I have had occasions where I have been on leave when the OH was working and I looked forward to having the house to myself for some solo fun but it wasn’t an all day event!! Now, with home working, I think if I had a day’s leave and she was at home, I’d be tempted to try and distract her!!!
