We’re clarifying our existing guidance around discussions involving kinks, fetishes, and fantasies.
The Lovehoney Forum is a place for open and respectful conversations about sex and sex toys. Discussing kinks, fetishes, and fantasies in good faith is welcome, provided the aim is genuine discussion and education.
What isn’t acceptable is using the forum to involve other members in those interests without their consent.
This includes creating topics or posts that are intended to involve other members in a kink, fetish, or fantasy rather than to have a genuine discussion about it. Examples might include persistently directing conversations toward a specific kink or fantasy for your own benefit, encouraging members to describe or participate in specific acts for your benefit, seeking personal details or responses that serve a fantasy rather than a legitimate discussion topic, or repeatedly creating discussions designed to provoke particular reactions from other members.
To put it simply:
Discussing kinks is welcome. Forcing members to participate in them is not.
Members should be able to take part in discussions without feeling pressured, manipulated, or unknowingly involved in someone else’s fantasy.
