I found it definitely comes down to personal preference and your own reactions. Everyone’s body will react totally differently, so it’s hard to pinpoint solid recommendations for others that are the ‘best’.

I think it depends, as with everything, on the individual. For me, yes, yes they really do work. I have three Womanizers and The We-Vibe Melt. For me, the suction technique and strength is best with the Melt, not sure if that’s down to shape or what but it is my favourite. For laziness and guarenteed results with blended orgasms the Womanizer Duo 2 is fantastic though. Therefore those two are my go tos and I don’t feel any need to find a replacement for the Melt as for me it’s perfection.

At first I thought what a waste of money

From all the other threads on this, I would say yes.
It’s a very large percentage of women say they work, they just vary on what ones they prefer due to the pressure etc.
My wife really likes them but we are yet to spend big money on the top ones just yet. It’s on our list though, we just can’t afford it at the moment

I recently tried the Lovehoney Clitoral Suction Stimulator, it is my first ever toy of this kind and I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely works for me - even at the lowest intensity levels it feels really good and gets the job done, but it ultimately depends on what kind of stimulation you like! 
I have to add that this toy is a bit loud, so if you mind the noise it’s better to consider a different toy. I purchased this because it was budget friendly and on sale, so it gave me the chance to try out a suction toy without breaking the bank.

Yes, I wouldn’t be without mine. I have a Romp which i was happy with but then my husband treated me to the We-Vibe Melt which has a lot more suction, My Romp hasn’t been used since.

My first suction toy did nothing for me until I tried it again a few years later and got the right spot.
I have the Mon Ami that in linked above, I like that it starts off really weak so that I can build up as much or as little as I like. I have the womaniser starlet 2, but the mon ami is my fav.
Put the suction part onto some water at full intensity, there should be sputtering, if theres not then the toy could be faulty.
