Hello, everyone. I’ve just found an unopened Lifelike Lover Classic Realistic Dildo 6 Inch still in a plastic bag it arrived in within one of my boxes when I moved recently. Do they expire and is it safe to use since I ordered this one back in February 2021.

I would think i it is unopened it should be fine and especially from 2021. If you are concerned it may be worth contacting customer support just to classify things.

It should be fine if it’s silicone, glass, or metal. Any other material like PVC I would be wary.

Unopened like that is fine.
But yes, dildos can expire. Basically any material like silicone, rubber, pvc are porous materials and will absorb trace amounts of… stuff… over time. Glass and metal are non porous so they don’t do this and can last for years. You will notice that eventually a plastic/silicone dildo will get discolouration, and when this happens I retire them. Someone told me that when they get this they get toxic, and I’m not sure it’s quite that dramatic, but it’s pretty clear they’ve absorbed things from around them and I don’t want to put that inside me. :))

Really old ones may get a bit floppy and need a bit of work to stiffen up

I’ve had silicone ones start leeching a liquid after a while
You will know as soon as you open it if it is ok still or not
