Do women enjoy Male Strippers as much as Men enjoy Female Ones?

Do all men like female strippers? I don't.

To clarify, I do like women, and I think strip joints (if properly managed) are a great way for woman to work.  I love the athletisism of the pole (but for me, this is more of a circus performace than a sexy performance - done well, I think it needs to be in one of those classy shows like Cirque du soleil, or the russian circus).  I personally don't get excited by it, I find it awkward, unconfortable and very forced.  I also don't like that male attitude when you attend proper strip joints.

Take me to a burlesque show - love it.  Also, my "best" show was at The Crazy Horse in Paris, that I went to with my wife.

No apparently they don't. Two of my male friends said it was the least sexy thing they'd seen and one said it made him feel like a perv ( was on a stag night so it wasn't his choice to see it )

I agree as being a guy they can sometimes come accroos as being seedy and something that perhaps that belongs in the 70s . However as I mentioned on the "other" thread of the same or similar title Burlesque is in a different league . Its art , its classy and all the things the conventional strip acts arn't . I wouldn't have any hesitation about watching a burlesque act and would even dress the part as 40s and 50s costume appear to be the in thing with these sort of acts.

Personally I'm not sure I agree with the premise that men enjoy strippers. Don't get me wrong, I think the female body is just the most beautiful thing and really enjoy seeing my wife in any state of undress but watching a stripper appeals not at all - like going to watch someone pull the dust-sheet slowly off a Ferrari that isn't yours and you won't be getting to drive.

What is the point?

My husband isn't a huge fan of female strippers either, he's said similar to you. He once said after a stag do, 'If I'm not getting to do anything with her then I'm not all the fussed in seeing her get naked'. It also irritates him that he's kind of expected to enjoy it!

I struggle with nudity and get embarrassed easily. I watched Magic Mike after getting it confused with the Illusionist, took longer than I care to admit to realise it wasn't what I was wanting to watch. I watched it through my fingers as I was mortified.

My husband has always liked the idea of going to a strip club, we have one an hours drive from home but it's more the thought than actually going.

I think all strippers, male or female are taken as a bit of a laugh. It's not something I would personally take seriously. Muscles, flabby, scrawny, I don't think body type would matter. The Full Monty demonstrated that (they really did strip in front of a crowd of average joes).

Kinda pleased not just me! I did a lot of work in the US at one time, and the guys there would make a point of going to strip joints just to make me uncomfortable!

O find female strippers more sensual & interesting than male strippers :)
