I have a TENS machine and was wondering if it could be used for naughty purposes. There are electrostim kits around, are these the same as tens machines? Could i just buy the relevant attachments?
Does anyone here use electrostim? any advice?
Of my experience with a decent Tens Machine; COMPEX ENERGY (one with fairly good credentials and expensive to boot) I wouldn't suggest hooking it up to any electro sex toys. I connected the compex to my Lats and turned in on level 500 out of 999 and the contractions it caused were so strong I could only breathe in the relaxation phases.
Just consider that in order to work a muscle such as a bicep with a proper Tens machine you need to restrain the hand and arm to resist the movement. They are that powerful.
The machines you buy from boots are a bit different...
TENS machines have been used for pregnancy related things for a while and people have been pushing the (dubious) wonders of slendertone for ages, they're also used medically (under anesthetic for some obvious reasons) to strengthen muscles and solve incontinence issues.
The machine I have is an EMS/TENS, its been proven to work well for endurance athletes especially in cycling where some big names swear by them. Like everyting you pay for what you get and I used mine to recover from a pretty horrific accident and it worked well. The down side is that its certainly not a get fit or strong effortlessly type of thing, in fact the latter just isn't going to happen. Firstly, after reading a lot you need them on a HIGH setting to get any real benefit and that then involves massive contractions and a fair deal of pain. Positioned incorrectly across your hear they're pretty dangerous things. Sorry got into training bore mode.... I'll stop now.
