Is this even an option? Am I being thick and over looked it is there a way I can turn it on. Or do I manually have to check back? Also is it compatible with tapatalk?

ooooh, well I use the forum on my smartphone all the time, using the mobile version of the site, without the need for an app, but dunno if that helps you
Im using my tablet just bugs me I have to search for my threads to see if any new messages have been posted...
If you go to your "profile as others see it" (in your account), then mid way down the page you can find your 20 most recent posts, each with a link to that post, that might be an easier way to navigate to specific things, rather than using the search function?
I wish we got like same sorta thing as facebook like a notification to a reply.. wonder if lh would consider anything of this sorts!!!!!
