Erotic Massage Oil

Hello everyone,

My girlfriend is away at the moment and is due back next week, and I wanted to surprise her with an erotic massage when she gets back. I've read a few websites, the advice guide here on LH and various forums but have not been able to find the answer to my question.

Maybe I've misread it, but is it safe to use a massage oil on someone but also be intimate with it. For example, if I give my girlfriend a massage all over her body, is it then safe for vaginal and anal play including fingering, intercourse and oral?

It appears the Durex 2 in 1 can do that, but I was hoping to use something more erotic, and that my girlfriend would appreciate and put a bit of thought into. No offence, but the Durex one looks like I've just ran down to my local supermarket and picked the nearest thing I could find.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

JP

don't use anything oil based in the vagina

Hiya and welcome to the Lovehoney Community,

"Massage candles/oils should not be used as a personal lubricant or with condoms. For a massage lotion that can be used as a lubricant and is compatible with condoms, you can use Durex Play 2 in 1 Massage Lubricants or even silicone lube."

You could always just use a massage oil/candle for the body and use the lubrications for the intimate areas.

Also, the use of the more luxurious feeling silicone lube might be more useful for you? Another recommendation is probably the Lelo massage oils- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/brands/lelo/sexy-gifts/all/all/ (I have the green version and it's oozes luxury!)

Here are some tips-

Hope that helps and hope you have fun on the night. =)

be carefull some lotions can cause iritation on sensitive areas, and could renter condoms usless.

However you plan on doing have fun.

I'd recommend using Durex 2 in 1. It works well for a massage, lovely sensation, and also as a lube. But remember if you're fingering anally and vaginally, don't use the same fingers for both!

Have fun!

Hi guys,

Thanks ever so much for the advice.

I've taken a look at the Lelo product range and I'm intrigued; however, Swindonman brought up something which I had forgotten, and that is my girlfriend has sensitive skin. She's uncomfortable with latex, unable to use makeup and uses special lotion on her face so I don't know if that has any bearing here.

I think I might just try the Durex one first and see how she gets on with that. In fact, are there any lotions which are suited for sensitive skin?

Thanks again for your help.

Kind regards,

JP

If you want something to use for the initmate areas as well- best to go for a lubricant. These really can make great massagers too but again, you may want to play around with 2 different types- one as a massage oil and one as a lubricant.

Most of these organic lubricants are suitable for sensitive skin- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex/lubricants/organic-lubricants/

I'd like to recommend this brand also- Pjur have amazing silicone lubes but this looks ideal for you- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=1136 It's for sensitive skin and on sale.

You may want to have a look around at the different types available- water based lubes are pretty slippery but can possibly dry out quicker, oil based don't dry out but are slightly thicker, as for silicone based- I think they're probably your best bet as they have a much more luxurious silky feeling. However, if you intend to use toys- it may effect them.

This is currently on sale and has a raving review- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22396

Good luck looking! I'd suggest taking a good look at the reviews to give more of an indication of its consistency etc.

Ps. This looks like a nice little extra- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17890

Thanks ever so much for your time and advice Nymeria,

I took your advice and purchasd the 'Yes Organic Water-Based Lube 125ml' and the 'Sliquid Organics Tranquility Massage Lotion 125ml', along with a couple other personal items.

Hopefully these organic based items without the Glycerin should do the trick with my girlfriends sensitive skin.

Thanks again for your help, I'm extremely grateful.

Kind Regards,

JP
