@Lovehoney_Brenna , it would be great to have a bigger variety of fantasy dildos, some proper abnormal ones like the Competitor toy or *competitor *toy range. I know you do a few now, the problem is the sizes. Most of them only have 7.5 inch circumference with 7-8inch insertable length. We need bigger for the more experienced, some that open you up properly, like 9-10inch circumference with 10-12 inch insertable length. Competitor toys are pretty hard to come by in the uk. Then you normally only get the generic skin colours, nothing that really stands out. Like someone mentioned above, as long as it’s not penis looking. However when you’re experienced in pegging and you need bigger you have to go with mega size human looking dildos.

For us it is just having something different. Historically dildo’s tended to obviously be the male cock based. we like the vibrant colours and the alternative designs and sizes. It just adds a little something different. Its like we are opening up new doors to something new. After all who doesn’t like the thrill of something new in the bedroom??

I’m not sure any of those 5 categories really cover the reason. For me it’s purely the taboo/naughtiness of it, so I guess the more ‘realistic’ the better.
Visually they have to appeal and more than likely thats what first grabs our attention, the weirdness, the exoticness.
But ultimately its the shape and texture that pursuade us to buy.
The promise of a different and unique sensation.
As a nerd, I’ve definitely become more curious about fantasy dildos since getting into fantasy and romantasy books. Some of them feature scenes that are spicy, especially in open-door series like Crescent City, where the shifter dynamics are described in detail. It really sparks the imagination and makes me curious about trying creature-inspired designs. For me, it’s less about extreme size and more about the storytelling and fantasy element that gets my heart racing 
That said, I feel like the category is missing a few things. I’d love more vibrating options, especially something like a vibrating fantasy butt plug. And more beginner-friendly sizes would be amazing, because a lot of the current designs have pretty intense girth and I’m smaller down there.
It would also be so fun to see fantasy toys inspired by popular romantasy series like ACOTAR, Crescent City or Fourth Wing. The aesthetic and world-building are such a big part of the appeal, so leaning into that more would make the whole experience a lot more fun 
Firstly I always want a good quality toy if it’s something I am going to put inside my body. So that is important to me. I then look for size, I want something I can’t find in real life. Then shape, for the same reason listed before. Texture is nice but not a deal breaker, and appearance is fun but I’m not going to be spending much time gazing at the toy.
