Just curious as to how everyone removes their facial and body hair?
I normally use facial hair removal cream on my face but I'm beginning to build up a reaction to it, so I'm looking for other options. I'm also sick of shaving only to have prickles again the next day. I'm considering an all in one epilator for both face and body but curious to see what other options are out there?
Most of my body hair I wax except the pubic region, that I trim first with scissors and shave the rest. Baby powder on the area afterwards usually prevents a rash. I pluck any facial hair
I don't (yet) have facial hair, I just manually pluck my eyebrows into shape with tweezers (though sometimes I go all natural as they are not overly thick anyhow).
I use a rechargeable waterproof epilator (that has all the attachments for body and face too, and a shaver, but I never use them) for the legs and belly (about once every ten days, but I prefer to use it on dry legs after shower rather than in the bath), and a women's manual shaver with replaceable heads for the vagina and armpits every day.
I am a natural fair blonde so any permanent removals don't work. Tried pulse light with no success. :(
I shave my pubic area. I want to look into waxing as I hear it lasts longer and the regroth isn't so bad. I'm fair blonde so face isn't an issue. I have a mole with a black hair but I just pluck it.
Thanks guys! I have considered waxing but I think I'll go for an epilator first as the pain I imagine would be similar without the repeated cost.
I haven't considered the no no, I'll look into that actually.
Also considering permament hair removal. I'd love one of those laser machines for home use, I have thick dark hair so maybe I'd be ideal? But they look so expensive.
Me and my daughter both need to wax facial hair , but I find threading even better it seems to blend in better you don't get any straight lines as you can often get with waxing xx
One day I'll be able to afford laser hair removal and I swear I will remove everything from my eyebrows down.
You are lucky you could. I am way too blonde, present available solutions do not work on me :(.
However, buying yourself a home pulse light hair removal machine is not that expensive (compared to a salon) and you get the benefit of the long term use wherever you need it to! (I think you could find one of the more renowned appliance / personal care brands at around 3-400.)
I would recommened visiting a professional for a hollywood wax. If you are worried about the pain, ask for something called "hot wax" this type of wax does not cling to the skin like normal wax does when they remove it with the paper strips. It is MUCH more comfortable and almost pain free. I cannot shave down there as it itches beyond relief, but waxing it much more comfortable, and over time can come back through finer (if at all)
I use Gigi hot wax at home and have done for several years, the regrowth is much softer than shaving and gets less each time. It is now virtually painless. May be I am just so used to it, but I have just started to wax my O H and unless I go over the same place twice he is quite comfortable and says it's getting less painful already.
Try threading! Not painful if you find a good beauty therapist. Check out reviews first and get a small area threaded to check that the person is good at it.
