So i'm looking for a little advice or a pointer in the right direction of a good lube for sensitive women. Sensitive skin and cystitis/thrush avoiders for example.
Which base should I be looking for (Oil, Silicone, Water)? and are there any specific ingredients you'd suggest I steer clear of?
Any help would be great and if you have specific recommendtions please post a link to the product!

Hi Iw1990 - I would advise using water based lubes as you can use these with condoms and all sex toys and they also washe off very easily.
I personally use the Sliquid range of lubes as they are free from chemical nasties, are not sticky and do not irritate your skin. I also have very sensitive skin and I have had no issues with these. They are 100% glycerin-free, paraben-free (parabens are the chemical preservatives found in many lubes) and vegan. Sliquid uses plant cellulose as a thickening agent, instead of glycerin or other sugar derivatives that can cause yeast infections in sensitive women.
I personally use Sliquid Sassy for anal play and Sliquid H20 for everything else and have never had a reaction.

Actually yes you can go wrong with water-based lubes. I cannot use most of them, Durex, Liquid Silk etc are completely out of the question for me. I was using Durex until I suffered massive vaginal infection, which got cured and then I got it back and again. After like 4 months we realized the culprid is not my partner transfering it back on me, but the lube causing it!
Waterbased lubes are fine to use, but you need to stay away from those, which contain glycerin and parabens. These are the most common causes for vaginal inbalance and often lead to repeated trush infections in sensitive women.
Good quality silicone lubes do avoid these problems, but unless you do testing and have good quality toys, you can run into problems with these reacting together.
You have to watch with silicone too though. For example, in heavily allergic to anything silicone based

True, but it is very rare to be alergic to silicone. Technically you can be alergic to anything. On the other hand sensitivity to glycerin and parabens is a rather more wide spread reaction.
Another vote for Sliquid.
I have to be really careful with parabens and scented products. It's bad enough that I can tell when I'm with a man who forgot and used body wash in the shower that morning, but I've never had a second's trouble with Sliquid. Good stuff.
You can try System JO H2O stuff. It's my go-to lube and I have very sensitive eczema

It is not a female friendly lube. Just some of the ingrediences: Propylparaben , Methylparaben, Glycerin
These are exactly those women, who want female sensitive lubes have to avoid, because these are those which actually cause inbalance for us and as result infections. I could use it on my skin easily without getting any problems, but I would not be able to use it on my female parts, outside, or inside. If that would go inside me, thrust is guaranteed.
I would definitely recommend the Sliquid range, because it's free from glycerin and parabens: in fact, on the packaging of one of the bottles I own - Sliquid Sassy - it says, "... FREE of DEA, gluten, glycerine, glycerol, parabens, PEG, propylene glycol, sorbital, & sulphates..."
They're also 100% vegan friendly, if that's something that is important to you. :)
We always use Liquid Silk or Sliquid, also only use plain non flavoured or scented, never had any issues.
