I’ve been through so many harnesses, it is unreal. Like @batjamboree, I’ve settled on a soft leather one. Mine holds the dildo out front (less hanging down). The end of the dildo sits on my clit (no fabric between and I part my pussy lips so the dildo touches it).

YMMV: we have tried different things to add stimulation like bumpers, bullets and such but for us, keeping it simple is best.
Harness plus a dildo with a thin base has the best chance of stimulation for her when penetrating. Too thick a base can deaden the sensation. Can also help to have a harness with crotchless front to allow penetration with either me or a toy during the session. Feeling is that my response is a big part of what helps get her to approach and the stimulation from the base against her clit pushes her over. Recently she climaxed during the session but without direct stimulation which was amazing and weird for her all at the same time.
