if you feel apprehensive, then it will be harder to relax and therefore harder to penetrate your anus, especially if you have never done it before. Try watching your favourite porn, relaxing and exploring with a lubed finger to start.
You may find it feels better and more comfortable if you're already turned on.

Use a dildo that has balls. i.e a flared end. So it doesn't get stuck inside you, leading to a trip to A & E. Use anal lube, its better than normal lube. Start thin and small, then work your way up. If your dildo is more than 8", then be careful as it might hurt.
