It’s that time of year, the football season is about to begin. That means I will be off into my man-cave to view the various games, some, at night. My OH looks forward to it actually, because, while I’m watching big hulking men grabbing and tackling each other, she is watching Bridgerton, and other “ girlie shows” on the tele. So, do any of you have the same experience, and does the “ girlie show “ watching make you more horny ?

I always find during football season it’s less sexy times, especially when he goes off to watch a match on a saturday as he normally gets home around 9ish and plastered so not much use. The Saturday just gone he missed the last train home and had to stay in a hotel overnight.

Wife hangs with me. We have season tickets, so if not at the game she is watching with me. We have our kids over quite a bit for watch parties. Love football season.

Mr K here. I am not really much of a sports person so I will be curled up on the sofa with Mrs C watching Bridgerton because it’s awesome.
I would say the show does get us a bit horny but our desire to continue watching the show beats going to the bedroom for fun.

My husband will always pick sex over sports (blame me for that one).
Whilst he is British, he was into American Football big time.
So, apparently he supports “the sorry hapless no good Seahawks” (still called that even after 2 Superbowl wins)
In the college football, Pac 10 Washington Huskies, Big 10 The Ohio State University. Are there any other leagues? (oh, he knows it’s Pac 12, but it will always be the Pac 10)

As much as I love sports, I’m with your husband. I will pick sex over watching football any day. Some days when it’s cold and we’re snuggled up watching a game we enjoy both.

To be honest, if sex was on offer, I’d throw the tv remote out the window and do that instead. Of course football games last 3 plus hours, sex, these days, maybe 45 minutes to an hour, so that’s two hours left to “ catch up” on the game, and really it’s the last 2 minutes or less that mean the outcome. Plus, the times she watches Bridgerton is at night, and any sex play would have been done hours previously. I have never watched that show, only have a passing knowledge about it.
We are lucky depending on how you look at it, because we would both pick football (or soccer to the US).
Now if it was rugby (Super League or NRL) unfortunately I’ve no chance. He’s rugby crazy or as he says, none of them snowflakes with pads running around
OH and I play fantasy football together, and at least half of the appeal is making sexy bets when we play each other. Football never gets in the way of our sex life!
I know a couple who play fantasy football. He picks on football reasons, she picks who she wants to shag, and each and evey year, she beats him! Total luck of course, but bloody funny.
