Forum dinner party

@AJSTAR:joy: yes you could, but that wasnt the purpose of the exercise.
It was to see if the reasons for selecting the guests and the perceived opinions of the guests and their personal characteristics was accurate in the eyes ofcthe guests.

It would have to be a large venue for us, there are just too many forum members to single out for their contributions to this forum, not to be able to invite them all would be a disservice.

Some would be up for the ‘ever-ready’ bunny award.

Others for the ‘Claire Rainer’ award for empathy and advice.

Others for the ’ Tony Hart’ *award for creative use of everday objects.

There would of course be the ’ Mary Whitehouse’ award for offending common decency.

This forum is full of like minded souls willing to share experiences, with acceptance and forbearance that all are different and speak with honest, warmth and friendship.

All power to it. Let no one be left from the table.

@DLJL … its not about leaving anyone from the table !! I could have compiled several different table groups.
It was about putting together a group that i thought would blend well, based on my perception of their personality.
!! Nothing to do with not being inclusive.!!
If people take it that way im sorry .

@Iwill by the number of replies clearly this was a great post and idea.

what’s even better is your description of members personalities!

It appears only a very FEW replying have taken the time to fully read or follow your request to do the same, seems they more took a feeling away as either included or excluded and I can see that wasn’t your intent here.

lastly I am honored to be on your list but what’s even more impressive was your personality descriptions, as far as I can tell you were dead on and correct, at least in my case.

I think @Iwill was spot on with many of his descriptions and thoughts about people he had invited. I have loved the posts and other ideas members have had. @Nvravrg69 .

@Iwill, I wasn’t suggesting that your original post wasn’t inclusive, I was merely pointing out that we would not be able to select specific forum members to attend a hypothetical dinner party, which would have limited numbers of attendees. I now appreciate it is not a limited number of attendees but who you would wish to have at your table at such an event. Again for us that would be an impossible decision to make.

Thats fair enough… however just picking a selection that you feel you have a particular feeling for there characteristics would be interesting to hear.

@Nvravrg69 . Thank you. It was intended to be a fun exercise in personality perceptions and how theyd be received. Also in blending those guests for what would be an interesting evening of conversation on sex and whatever else came up. ( no pun intended)

Trying to work out which category I fit in. Not “Tony Hart”, but I have a good argument for each of the other three!

Hehe I might make the easy choice then and say everyone is invited to my masked ball party and we can all play guess who to see if we can match up who’s behind the masks

Depends on where you wear your black tie

It coulf be a dicky bow event

@AWB1955 That could be interesting. Having a tie, bow tie adorned on alternative places…it could be the start of something.
Would it look as nonchalantly casual undone.:joy:
