A question for LH or the forum in general, do forum threads ever get archived?
I have responded to a few which were months / years since the last reply.
There is also a lot of duplication between new and old threads, so would it be worth an auto default where threads of 12 months or old are automatically archived?
There are some threads which say they are automatically deleted after a certain per of time.
I think there’s something like 30 days maybe if there’s no activity on it… but would need to look this up to double check.
I think old ones get manually archived if the information is out of date and mods notice it, but some older threads still have relevant information so by auto archiving, there’s a risk of losing that.
I think it’s threads like the welcome ones that tend to close after 6 months.
If you notice a thread that seems like a duplicate, you can flag it and it should get picked up 
I don’t think any threads are automatically deleted. The Introduce Yourself threads are now automatically closed a month after the last reply as presumably, by then, they’re not really relevant for new, “Hellos”.
The tester threads are closed and archived by Brenna when the testers on offer have all been sent and are no longer available.
The only other threads that are closed and archived are ones that contain out of date information or break the forum rules.
It is definitely best if, before posting new threads, people have a search for existing ones that match what they’re looking for and add to these. If duplicate threads are noticed by mods, they will be moved across. Some older threads that are resurrected contain really great information. As @MsSubExperimenter says, when you notice duplicate threads popping up, please do flag them so Brenna can merge them into the older, still relevent, thread.
The only thing with the threads that slightly, though I understand why it happens, urks me is that the Games category doesn’t, by default, feature on the topic list so new users don’t tend to find any of the games. Only threads from that topic that you’ve already interacted with appear on your list.
I think because it all started along time ago in a galaxy called Orgasm Army I think it takes time to merge posts into new ones, Certainly some have been closed but only because they have merged, looking back I see my posts from Orgasm Army are still Alive and not closed.
