Do you think porn stars actually enjoy it or is it just a job? I’m not critising just genuinely interested in what people think, I like to pretend that they enjoy it but I’m not sure! I usually watch BDSM / gangbang stuff myself - not that I would be even remotely interested in doing this myself! Tend to watch more vanilla stuff with my OH. I’m not sure either. I imagine it is more of a job than anything else, but then they must get some enjoyment out of it otherwise they wouldn’t be doing the job in the first place? But then people do jobs for all sorts of reasons. I’m trying to cut down on how much I watch / watch less “rough” stuff now. I started to notice that it was having a negative effect on my sex life.

Nothing awful, just that I wouldn’t want to try most of the stuff that I was watching and it was getting to the point that I couldn’t orgasm without the porn (sex was just boring).

Channel 4 had a great programme a few years ago in which a few fans got flown to the US to meet their favourite porn stars and talk about their real lives. One of the women had bought a lovely ranch with horses on her earnings and seemed quite happy overall. Then there was a guy who starred in gay porn. His fan was rather disappointed to discover he actually had a wife and kids and was only acting and making use of clever video editing as the producers thought he’d appeal more to the gay audience.

I do get a bit bored sometimes, it comes with being the one with the much higher sex drive in the relationship and the fact that I would like to try things that he isn’t at all interested in! Anyway, I think I’m getting rather off topic here!
