Has anyone tried the Bathmate, does it work?

I recently picked up a Bathmate (on a whim). Anyone tried it? There are lots of forums on the internet that seem to rate it highly, but I can't help but think that many of the posts are by the manufacturer or people who are paid to promote it: there seems to be little solid evidence that it really works in the long term. Any experience? I was MASSIVE straight after using it, but I'm not sure if it's permanent. My girlfriend just thinks I'm being gullible...

i am interested in whether in works too

Might need to find out for myself

Got a hercules 3 days ago and it seems pretty good. Already reaching a further 2cm further down the tube

I have now reached end of the measurement guage. Standard erection length also (iincreasing (it always playing catchup which makes sense)

I've been contemplating a pump of sorts, but the cheaper Hercules isn't big enough for me (not a brag - just wouldn't be beneficial) and there's an almost 50% price hike to get the bigger model (X40 or Goliath).

I was thinking of getting a standard lever pump based model BUT doing it in water (so fill the cylilnder with warm water, pop in member, check for seal and then pump.... Seems to me that is all a bathmate is doing anyway, so the water acts as an all enveloping cushion.)

I think I'll go ahead and try it and report back on if it works or not. that way, won't be too much money wasted if it doesn't.

Hi quietlee,

We recently had Bathmate come to visit us and give us all a training session - we're in the process of updating our guides, so bear with us! However, some key info that they gave to us was really interesting.

They're a UK-based company with the elements produced and assembled in the UK. The man who founded the company used to work in hydraulics, funnily enough! They have the only patented water pump in the world and are protective of their techonology.

The Bathmate pumps are specially designed to work in water and have special valves to release water as you pump so you can't use a normal air pump underwater in the same way. It really is a unique bit of engineering!

The benefit of the water based pump over air pumps is that it works using hydraulics rather than pneumatics. The main benefit of this is that the pressure to the penis is even throughout the water, rather than a bit patchy across the air bubbles.

Also, there's the whole do-it-in-the-shower element that makes keeping up regular pumping easier than finding time to add pumping to your routine.

The X40 would be my recommendation for you if you think the Hercules and X30 would be too small. The Goliath is HUGE and intended for the 0.1% of men - it was initially designed for porn stars only, really!

Obviously, Bathmate is a pricier option than a basic air pump but our 1 Year no quibbles returns means there's no 'risk' if you're not happy with the results. Bathmate suggest watching and waiting between 1-3 months of regular pumping, so that still leaves you plenty of time to make a return if you're not happy.

I've spoken to their team before, and they seem really nice.

I have also chatted with a few people who have tried them, and they believe they are really good. I haven't tried one with a partner yet, however I do own cheaper pumps, which haven't worked very well.

I kind of want one now, purely because the engineering behind it sounds cool XD

They were thinking about making a female pump =) I should follow-up on it.

Thanks for your contribution to this thread Alice - having re-read all the "official Bathmate" blurb, it's possible that it works better than the average pump - but being cynical - it's just another device playing on guys insecurities but at a higher price. Why they can justify the price hike for a bigger product though (compare this to the lower end vacuum pumps, where a few quid extra gets you something slightly bigger).

Might be worth a try though (an "investment" perhaps) and if it's working for Naked Butler I might just give it a go.

We were lucky enough to get the bath mate on the testers and we are absolutely thrilled with it even after a couple of uses we could both tell the difference xx

Thanks for sharing your experience naughtywildfun90, much appreciated and good to hear it has made a difference. I re-read ALL the reveiws on ALL the range and there are mixed results which kind of puts doubts in my mind once again (typical - the negative reviews overide the positive when trying to decide).

It's not that I want massive gains, a bit more girth more than anything, but I do wonder if I'll get the time to use this thing correctly. 15-20 minutes is a long time when my showers (twice a day) only last 5-7 mins and we're quite an open household so my wife or kids walk in the bathroom at any time, might be a shock to see a misplaced Dalek -looking contraption hanging off my lower section!!!!! The advantage with a vacuum pump is I could literally do it anywhere in private.

And also I'm not actually going to tell my wife I am using a pump-device - be more interesting to see if she noticies any difference and comments.

we have noticed a difference more in girth that legnth i now have alot more sore throats ;-)

If i was you id go with a vacuum and see if it suits you as a bathmate isnt exactly cheap lol it does sound as there are more pros to the vacuum for you with a busy household xx

Yes I think if it helps with increased blood flow and encourages the like - then I see it more as a health benefit. For the price there's really not too much to lose and i'm sensible enought not to go OTT when using it.

I 've ordered a vacuum one and await it's delivery this week sometime and then will set about doing a journal perhaps, before and after and see what the reality is. I was initially only going to get a pump that targeted the glans - but then with careful use, a normal pump could be used as such too. We will see. Along with kegal exercises I'm hoping to have arousals that would make my teenage self proud!!!!!
