Hey everyone. I’m new to the forums and new to anal (butt plugs). I’m autistic and need some clarification (sorry).
I bought a LH butt plug and LH’s Fresh toy cleaner spray. The instructions say: “spray on, wash well, rinse off, and leave to dry”
Does the “wash well” part mean I need to also use water & soap (mild dish soap), or does it mean just wash with the toy cleaner only?
I did notice that LH’s Fresh toy cleaner spray had a “cleaner smell” after using, does that mean I didn’t get all the cleaner off, or is that normal?
Also, does it sanitize, or will I need to use boiling water or 10% bleach sometime in the future? I just want to make sure no bacteria stays on them (they’re silicone plugs from LH).
Welcome, so after use just use any anti bacterial hand wash like Carex or your bought toy cleaner, then Carex, dry with a towel and keep in a dry place or cloth bag especially if its silicone and you’re all good?
I usually just use warm water and antibacterial soap for mine and if they still smell a bit funky then crack out the LH toy cleaner as well. Just be weary that some cleaning products like bleach can cause a reaction to silicone toys so you don’t want to use anything with harsh chemicals in.
I like using foaming toy cleaner. That way you can see if you have the soap/cleaner everywhere based on the foam being everywhere or not, and then you know if you rinsed it off if you don’t see bubbles anymore.
The ‘wash well’ part means rub the toy with your hand or if you’re using a cloth, you may need to reapply the cleaner.
I use an anti bacterial cleaner first and wash it, usually just with my hand, get in all the grooves until all lube or bodily fluids are washed off. Then I spray the toy cleaner on just for a bit extra, leave that for 30 secs or so then rinse and leave to dry.
The fresh toy cleaner isn’t an anti bacterial cleaner, so you’ll need to use something else as well to keep it sanitary, especially for butt plugs. The fresh toy cleaner helps remove smells for me and thats why I use it.
