So I have been pretty stressed with work losing clients/ income through their own personal circumstances (not my fault) I have been on my pill (Microgynon) since April and recently I haven't been myself and onTuesday having had suicidal thoughts for the past 2 weeks (totally not like me) I decided to take myself off the pill and thank God I was able to get an emergency appt and saw the dr rather than waiting 3 weeks for another appt. She was really lovely and put me on Loestrin 20 which is the lowest dose of hormone.
We had sex last night (anally as we hate condoms) and he made me cum with the G spot attachment on the Doxy (we call it the ghost) all great with no problems.
This morning I was riding him and things were dying (sodding condom) so I asked him to make me cum with the ghost again, as I was just on the verge of an AMAZING orgasm I was tensing and then BANG I felt like my head was going to explode, my head was literally pounding and I asked him to turn it off and I just rolled around with my head in my hands for the next 10 mins, it did ease off but it was really scary I thought my head was going to explode and without sounding dramatic I wondered if I was having a brain aneurysm (I'm really quite chilled normally and far less of a drama queen that this is sounding) He let me lie in the dark for about 40mins and I do feel better but 2 hours later my head still hurts, was it just a really bad migraine? Should I be worried?
I don't get on with the contraceptive pills. At all. They turned me into a crazy woman lol. I really got on with the injection though 👍
Perhaps it might have had something to do with the position, being upright makes the heart pump it's hardest, maybe you weren't breathing in enough oxygen, plus being on the pill, all of that may have just lead to you having a mad flash headache. Sometimes people orgasm so hard they pass out. I almost do sometimes. Keep your eye on it and keep a record if it continues.
I'm no doctor but I've suffered heavy migraines in the past, it feels like someone has hold of my eyeball and is squeezing it so as to pull it out if it's socket if you follow. They used to occur fairly regularly but have been less so in the last couple years. I found strong painkillers helped although, once I had a case so bad I was in and out of A&E early one morning as I was thrashing around the bed, nothing would touch it, eye tests proved I wasn't straining my eyes and *finally* a course of suppositories cured the pain. (!) 😲
Never got to the cause and put it down to a one off, still get the odd headache, not nice but I can almost feel them building so I've got time to get some (good 500mg) paracetamol if needs be.
Hope this helps, hope it's nothing serious. It can be scary if you are not used to it & hopefully you won't be plagued in the future.
Obviously consult a professional and please don't fill yourself with pills on the back of my post. Like I say I'm not a doc, what worked for me may not you, just saying that hopefully, while its painful now it may pass and may not be serious.
I've had migraines and they're no joke ,absolutely the most unpleasant thing I've ever had and the reason I stopped taking the pill many years ago although it didn't stop the migraines unfortunately. There is also a condition called orgasmic headache which comes on at the onset of orgasm and is a severe headache that starts suddenly and can last for a while then starts to subside , apparently a bit more common in men . Do you think it might be that ? If it happens again in the same circumstances I think maybe a trip to the doctor might be in order x
I've suffered from migraines since I was 10 and sadly, I've had them appear during sex and masturbation as well. I'm really glad you stopped and laid in the dark, being in the dark is one of the best things for it.
Depending on the strength of the migraine, painkillers might not work and / or cause you to throw up. So don't be scared if it makes you sick.
My routine is:
Get a bucket / bin, toilet paper, pain killers, squash / water, fan set up and either a damp flannel or a 'kool strip' for your forehead and have them within arms reach.
I then take some pain killers, put my fan on and lie down in the dark with the flannel / kool strip on my head and try and sleep it off.
If this happens again, do go see your Doctor. They may prescribe you some migraine tablets, which do work if they are only used occasionally.
A post coital headache can be quite serious, I don't want to scaremonger hun but you need to speak to a Dr. It could be just a migraine (hah! just!) but there is a teeny tiny risk it could be an aneurysm so it's worth getting checked out. Hope you feel better soon!
If it is pulsalile, on one side, with sensibility to light or sound it is probably a migrain like some have suggested.
If I were you I would definitely go to the doctor asap. The new contraception could've caused a blood clot which can have caused an AVC. That is the worst scenario, but even if it's not that, you really wanna make sure you don't end with brain damage. If it's a migrain then the doctor can change the contraception if you want or give you migrain pills.
I don't mean to scare you but it could be something serious and I thibk it's worth veibg careful with it even if it's only to discard that scenario.
Surely it has to do with blood pressure. I would still go to the doctor to discard the dangerous possibilities and to fix this so you don't have those headaches anymore :)
Definitely chat with a go. A sudden onset headaches described as like a thunderclap in the head can be a sign of something serious. If it is still there and not eased by pain relief then you need to see someone.
This kind of thing will probably be innocuous but worth getting checked out.
Thanks guys, I think I should probably get checked out, we ended up having sex as I seduced him in my new catsuit but he took me from behind so there was minimal work from me but still ended up with my head pounding again, just not at all as bad, it just feels like I can feel the blood pumping round my head so I'm guessing that that is blood pressure. He's now put me on a sex ban as he's frightened of making me ill and strongly suggested that I don't masturbate either. I felt a bit funny in Asda all panicky and fuzzy.
So, I went to the Doctors yesterday and my blood pressure is completely normal. She said that I am getting stress related migraines and that's what happened on Saturday. I have been having increased feelings of anxiety and that I can't cope with life, I feel like I have lost myself, I'm crying all of the time and I have good days if I have had a better nights' sleep but I have been waking up between 4 & 5 and it's killing me working 10/11 hour days after that. The Dr offered to sign me off but as a self employed single Mum nobody else pays my bills so I need to work.
She has put me on Citalopram 10mg and was really kind, she suggested taking it in the evening in case it makes me drowsy. I took it at 6pm and felt really nauseous by 8pm and then felt so sick I was in bed by 9pm and asleep by 9.30 only to disturb briefly at 4 and then wake from 5.50 which is so much better, I feel hugely sluggish and slightly less sick now but this is just horrible. I have never had to have medication like this before and I find it all so overwhelming!
It would have been my 10th wedding Anniversary tomo and although I'm really glad I'm not with him and I'm so happy with my fella (who is being hugely supportive) I still feel quite sad about it!
I just hope that it doesn't take two long for it all to settle down and I can go back to bring my usual happy, fun loving self!
