Hey Spade- welcome!

Everything is safe as long as you use them properly so there is no need to worry there.

If you have not used a pump before I would suggest going for a basic air one such as the Tracey Cox EDGE or Lovehoney BASICS. Just remember that results take time, so you do need to use it consisently to gain/maintain the increase in size.
