Hi Sophie and welcome to the forum. I know what you mean about football. Used to go along and watch with hubby many years ago. Now i have much better things to do such as keeping warm indoors.
@Wood-Nymph they love it dont they, stupid boys, i dont go every match but when i feel i’ve said no to often i’ll fold and go with him and his friends to watch it at bramall lane so at least its local, been on a coach trip to go see them play away, aint doing that again

Hey Sophie and welcome,
As one football fan’s partner to another, girl, I can only empathise 
my husband supports Newcastle United (we’re in Bristol, go figure 
) and Bristol Rovers (actually smart, given we live on the “blue” side of the city), he also plays (goalkeeper) and manages a team on Football Manager. He watches Match Of The Day religiously and talks managing decisions with his friends like he’s pitch side himself. In spite of all that though, I still love him
