Hi @sophieUK there are the odd posts that restrict the replies to one reply in 18 hours but most allow multiple replies. Regarding other things like posting pictures, etc there are different levels. As you have only joined recently you have to wait I believe 15 days and complete a few things (very easy) then you will move to level 2 and can do more. Have a read on the forum re levels.
