Hi, i'm new with lingerie and I want to buy a suspender belt because I find it very sexy. The stockings I wanted to buy to go with it in out of stock. So now I am looking for other stockings to replace them, but I don't know if I should get hold ups so I can wear them as everyday wear or if a suspender belt can't hold them since there is a plastic band.
Can anyone help me?
I have had several embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions whilst wearing hold ups at work 😳 so now I usually wear suspenders as well to be on the safeside. I have to say though the hold ups were not bought from LH. I've just bought a basque from LH and the suspenders work fine with hold ups. I was really pleased.
I only ever wear hold-ups or stockings because I passionately hate tights. I like to reassure hold-ups with suspenders too, but this shouldn't be a necessary thing. I only ever had problems with hold-ups sliding off if they were previously (machine) washed several times already and lost their stickiness, or they were poor quality (I'm looking at you, http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26203 - DO NOT BUY THESE!). I can usually manage to pinch hold-ups to suspenders, but only if I pinch them between two sticky stripes (and it also depends on the suspenders' clip).
Bottom line: if you want to buy your first suspenders, I advise you to get them in the colour you normally wear for underwear and / or stockings. I have many colours now, but started out with several black ones because 99% of the time I wear black underwear and stockings. For me they all are everyday wear. :)
I am personally satisfied with the Lovehoney own brand stockings and hold-ups, be them fishnet or sheer. They are good (enough) quality for the money. I don't like cuban heals (I actually don't even like reinforced toes either!) or seams, but these are just a matter of tastes.

I thing holdups are also interesting because they can be wore with the peices I already own.
Also, I don't know it the size is gonna fit me. I have 35" hips and usually waer XS and size 4 at h&m (US sizing)
Your choices are perfectly fine. Again, the Lovehoney stockings and hold-up are not top notch, but they are good value for money (especially with the deals).
About sizing, I cannot help as I am plus size, but you can find online size convertitors in seconds. Having said that, from your measurements I would choose the smallest size available in everything on here. You can always exchange them too if they don't fit.
I'm going to have to start wearing suzzies with the hold ups. Some of them just don't stick well unless it's because of my chunky legs!
It is hard to snap them on with the silicone sticky strip there!
I've had mixed success trying to use hold ups with suspenders at the same time. Even normal lace top stockings can be hard to hook suspenders onto sometimes. If the rubber part is too wide it can be impossible with holdups.
I've now taken to trying to buy lingerie with detachable garters so that I can use the suspender straps I already have that I know will work with my stockings/hold ups.
The other pair seems to be back in stock. Which one do you suggest?
Well, stockings need suspender belts, hold-ups don't. They are the same quality, the only difference is the stripes to hold them in place or not. So it depends on what you want.
Hold-ups are easier to handle in everyday use. (But, I find it is pretty easy to have suspenders and stockings on too, so don't mind me! I actually prefer this to hold-ups, I feel sexier and more sicure in them.) For sexy time, I would definitely go for the stockings & suspenders.
I love stockings and often wear hold ups with a suspender belt too for added security but the can be quite fiddly as you need to position the clips between the sticky bands.
I def prefer stockings and a belt over hold ups as they're so much more comfortable, I find the bands on hold ups can irritate a little
