Met my wife through a workmate ā¦ at HOUSIE! 
(you might call it BINGO). Iād moved city and had gone out with colleagues to socialise etc. Each Tues night they went to a big hall in town where old people gathered to play the game ā¦ it was an odd thing they did for a bit of a laugh.
ā¦ I was with my gf at the time, but couldnāt keep my eyes off this gorgeous girl across the table. She came to my flat-warming next and flirted with me, HARD! I couldnāt believe it. Iād been enamoured with her, and to find out she liked me too was 
She moved city a few weeks later but I couldnāt stop thinking about her. I broke off my then relationship and dated a few people over the next 6 months ā¦ but we (me & future wife) kept in touch. We eventually arranged a catch-up in person when I went on holiday ā¦
ā¦ after that she moved back to the city sheād left (and I was still in) not long afterwards, and weāve been together ever since. I honestly feel like she is THE one, and it was meant to be. So does she. Neither of us were ālookingā when we found each other - the sparks between us were just too bright.

We met when we were both 20 years old. There was school stadium close to where I lived that I would walk to, to run the track and basically workout. One day while walking home I saw my wife sitting outside her house and said hello. Every time after I would see her so I stopped to talk one day and eventually asked her out. That was 1983 and we have been together since.

My wife and I met at work 2007. She worked in a different department then me. We were both married, unhappy and just settling. After about 6 months of talking we had both ended our marriages. We continued to talk and just seemed to have a great chemistry. With in the next 6 months we were dating and really into each other. 6 years later I asked her to be my wife. Here we are happily married 8 years, been together for 17 plus years

I went into my local Dixonās to buy a computer when I started studying for my HNC and there he was working in there. I wasnāt sure if I actually fancied him lol. Then a few months later I received a valentineās card which I thought was from him, so I emailed him and asked did he fancy going for a drink ( heād put his email address on the receipt āincase I had any problems with the pcā) and here we are just over 24 years later

My (now wife) and I also met on the Plenty of Fish (POF) dating app! 7 years ago, first date met up at a coffee/tea place and the rest is history.
I donāt think POF is as popular anymore (if its still around), but plenty of other dating apps nowadays! Speaking from United States, Tinder seems to mostly be used for hookups here, not as often for people looking for serious relationships (if youāre looking for a serious relationship). Other dating apps typically seem to be more toward finding serious relationships. However, they can be a lot of hit and miss, but you really only need one āhitā! If trying to meet someone I wouldnāt rely 100% on dating apps if youāre able to also meet people through in-person things, just use apps/online dating as an additional tool/way to broaden the amount of people you could potentially connect with and meet.

I met my hubby at work. It was my second day (had recently ended my marriage and moved back to my home town) and it was his first day in a new role so we were in the same orientation. He was 9 years older and had a couple of kids so I didnāt think much of it. But after signing up to do Tough Mudder a couple months later with colleagues we began training together and well the rest is history. Nearly 10 years later and we are married with 3 more kids.

I met my current partner 20odd years ago in an MSN chatroom when I was flirting with many others, as she was etc.
Prior to that, my long term partner was my parentās god-daughter and guess who my god-parents were ?

Me and my mate got chatting to a couple of women in our (now) local and when pub closed they asked if we wanted to go for drinks back at one of theres, which we did. We carried on drinking the next day and I ended up shagging one of them. We all met up a few more times and it was actually the friend of the one Iād been with that I started to get friendly with and she started coming over to my mates house and the one time my mate had to go off somewhere and I ended up sleeping with her and weāve been together ever since for over 10 years.

First) we knew each other for a long time and given the overlap in a lot of things, we just one day sat down and had a talk.
That one lasted a decade.
This one ended on good terms, we just simply grew apart.
Second) was online, and that started off with talking about our audio engineering tips and tricks; over time we just clicked.
That one lasted half a decade.
This one ended out of the simple reason it was distance, and the mismatch in priorities.
And now Iām just here single and hoping third times the charm.
