Im a Uni Student, M21 and was wondering how people met there significant other?
I know recently ive found out alot of my friends use apps like Tinder too meet someone when looking for a relationship, so kind of intrigued too see how people met theres and how people knew they were the one?
I met mine through The book of faces. I was just recently separated but she was still married, but was looking for a way out As her ex was a drunk and a drug addict. And they were both living apart. Got chatting on the message app and things went from there. Met up at a car park at the beach, chatted for hours then out of the blue she asked me if I wanted to fuck her. The rest is history and I have my soul mate for life
Short version is that I knew my husband for years before we got together. I didn’t think he was interested, but I found myself comparing men to him.
So I decided to deploy me feminine wiles (in my case, my boobs!) to see if he was interested. Eventually, he admitted that he was. He shagged me three days later, and then I knew he really was the one.
She was one of a group of friends in my home town.
I was back home for the Summer holidays from university.
Apparently she was flirting with me outrageously but i never noticed until friends pointed it out.
Ah @rockstar, my husband is crap at seeing flirting. I had to basically throw myself at him to give him the idea! Oh, the indignity. The right choice though!
I met mine on some dating app and I asked her her favorite horror movies and we hit it off after that been together 3 years now and hopefully one day I will ask the big question.
We met each other back in secondary school 1997. But we didn’t start seeing each other until 2007. Back in those years I knew I wanted him, but just didn’t have the confidence to do anything. But those years later when we were out with mutual friends, little bit tipsy I made sure he new that I wanted him I got my soulmate, and 3 years later we got married.
We met at Royal Ascot. He was heading up one of the security teams and i was doing silver service in the private boxes. We met in the staff canteen when he came in for breakfast and the rest is history!
I broke one of my rules of never dating someone from work . I had noticed her long legs and ass for some time , I finally broke down and asked her out . Still in our trial period , been together 37 years .
Swipped right on Tinder, took a week or so to arrange a meeting, slept over the night of our 3 date, moved in together after 18 months, been together over 7 years. Couldnt be happier
Mine was my ex school friend’s ex-boyfriend. Here’s the story.
Christmas before she told me all about him, how amazing he was etc I thought he sounded cool but I had to meet him - she doesn’t normally big guys up like that! February was her birthday, she didn’t want to invite me to her party for some totally random (and unknown) reason. Come March time she calls me; she’s bored of him and wanted to know what to do. I was confused and told her to stay with him, she seemed happy so what had gone wrong? A week later he (my then friend) is inconsolable - he’d lost his job and his girlfriend in the same day!
So I hugged him and told him not to take her back if she tried because she liked to keep all of her ex-boyfriends on reserve, just in case they could be valuable to her again, I said I knew what she was like and she had always done it. I think I was still annoyed at not being invited to the party she’d told me all about lol, anyway.
She didn’t like me being friends with her ex-boyfriend, and given she wanted to ditch me from her birthday, I was cool with her ditching me as a friend completely since I’d been invited to hang out with him and his friends instead. They were super awesome, they still are - his friends are now my friends too.
Long story short, he found out that I had dogs and wanted to walk them together since he couldn’t have dogs in his flat, so we did. Dog walks led to holding hands led to kissing led to hooking up, but definitely no relationship. That was 19 years ago, he’s been my husband for almost 12 of them since. Yes, he’s still amazing. Yes, we have a dog
We met in the local (to me, at the time) rock pub. I was out with a couple of girl friends and he was out with a friend for a few drinks before they headed to Download a day or so later. He “knew” one of my friends from years ago so we got chatting with them and spent the evening together in the pub. She went home with his mate! We exchanged numbers but I went home alone .
We exchanged lots of texts while he was at Download and met up for a date when he got back. It was a fun night with lots of banter. Wandering the streets towards the end of the night, a policeman pulled over and told us to, “Get a room”. Being very law abiding individuals, we obeyed. That was 15 years ago and we are now living together, unmarried with two dogs. Perfect!
