How do we look?

I think I’ve sort of got used to the threads over the weekend and though they seem a bit spaced out and less defined they are workable and more balanced with “normal” text than with “smallest” text.

My big problem is the homepage which with “normal” sized text looks a mess and it’s hard to identify new threads with their purple dot indicator from the other purple dot number indicators, etc. With the text set to “smallest” it is a lot better (on my Android phone). Is there a way to reduce the default font size for topic titles on the home page for mobile devices?

We both like the fact that comments to our responses are easier to see. This is the best forum we’ve ever seen. I would like you to allow some pics

Images can be shared in the dedicated Your Photos category  As long as they abide by the photo rules!

Ooh, sorry, I have my first issue other than just general layout (all menus, etc. look correct with no overlay for me).

Using the search function, however, I can’t see what I’m typing. It won’t let me position the screen higher so the keyboard appears below. I can click in the box, type blind, click away to see what I’ve typed and go back to blindly try and correct any mistakes so it doesn’t make it impossible to use (I found the thread I was looking for) but it makes it harder than it should be.

Me too

Raising this one as an urgent issue!

If it’s necessary for operational reasons i understand, but does it have to be so unappealing to the eye?

Not major but some fonts are inconsistent like the numbers in the bottom right showing the number of comments:

And when clicking on that part, the preview of the comments in that little window has a different font and changes the comment into all capital letters:

Also the font for the headings in some areas like my profile summary are inconsistent with the rest of the site:

Found it @Lovehoney_Brenna

The spacing of the two replies is different.

I can’t say I’m enjoying it.

When I click my picture/icon to open my ‘replies/likes/new topics’ etc, I get a blank screen with a little detail on the right edge.

My post/reply box is tiny, and lots of things just aren’t displaying properly.

I’m usually on iPhone, latest operation software.

Here’s another … I clicked on the topic … this is what I see …

Eeep! @Lucas04 which model of iPhone do you normally use? Are you using Safari, or the Discourse App?

@KinkyMira , I’m assuming that’s intentional. On all the topics the OP is wider spaced for me than all the replys. The replys are then all the same (though with a lot of spacing between paragraphs!) I think your screen shot is the OP and the first reply?

Also worth making sure you’ve not accidentally flipped to desktop mode. There’s a little icon in the bottom right of the sidebar menu that lets you swop between the mobile and desktop view (and desktop view can get quite funky on mobile )

@Lucas04 Yeah I agree you could well of gone onto desktop mode by the looks of it.

@Lovehoney_Brenna I’m on iPhone11, using Safari. I wasn’t on desktop mode as far as I could tell, as I couldn’t even see the ‘desktop mode’ icon (or the cellphone icon to switch mode back)

… but after closing everything, rebooting my phone etc, then coming back and logging in, I seem to have a far better view. I can see the icons to change view …

So it could just have been my phone caching old stuff, that was interfering :man_shrugging:

Ooh @Peitho, interesting observation. You might be right. Annoying though!

O you are right @KinkyMira @Peitho Good hawk eyes never even noticed the OP posts were a different size.
