the hard bit is finding the right thing that allows you to be in position. Try fixing it to a coffee table it works well.
I built a mount that went on the bed which could be raised or lowered, it enables a strapon harness to be attached to it and also brought it far anoth out from the headboard to get your legs either side, we're able to attach a number of different dildos to it, works well for me or the wife.

The LH brand jelly dildo with suction cup is fantastic - at least I love it, anyway. Just the right amount of softness, still good and firm, flexible at the base so you can shift around to whatever position is comfortable and a surprisingly strong suction cup.
I find attaching it to one side of the bedside cabinet works well, as I can get my legs either side of it comfortably.
The wallbanger one with the vibe is... a little harder than I'd like, but the vibe part is wonderful for letting me go hands free.
