I have just purchased the real feel 10inch extra girth dildo and I love it, I warm up using my fingers then go straight to a 6inch dong, once this is in easy I play with the 8inch real feel then with the inflatable butt plug which is one of my favourites by the way. Then bang in goes the 10inch real feel.

Don’t bother with fingers, if I’m in the mood just go straight to a six inch dildo just like you. Only after a good warm up on that do I reach for the bigger toys. Oh, and the lube applicators are a heaven-sent gift for me and anal.

I get worried I’m using too much lube when I use the applicators haha. I shouldn’t worry because that’s what lube us for but im silly like that.
For me I start with a small butt plug for the day then can go straight to a 6 inch dildo or 5 inch circumference plug

I’m the same as @Gosig, I go straight in for a 6” dildo or similar but quite often like yourself @TDR I would have been wearing a butt plug for quite some length of time during the day anyway.
I only have a couple of really girthy dildos I love for anal play on its own, my favourite is the Aqua Quartz 8” - it’s extremely filling and I have to work up slowly through sizes to get to this one. But more often than not I stay with slimmer options like the Glow In The Dark 7.5” as I’m all about the double penetration ass and pussy play myself. Anything too big and I’m waaayyyyy too full up 
Also as mentioned, the internal lube applicators have become life for me.

I rarely ever use big anal toys on myself but when I’m playing with my subs I follow your tactic @Toys_make_me_happy. Obviously it’s easier to use my fingers and toys on another person, but it can still be done solo.
The trick is to use a lot of good, long lasting lube and steadily increase the number of fingers or toy size. Not every person is the same. Some can take a fist after 10 minutes of play, while others need to train every day for weeks.

I do like a second of fingers mainly to lube up before breaking into a plug or small dildo like 5-6 inch before doing bigger. Shockingly at the start of the year I got with a guy who was 9 plus inches and only used a small plug to stretch well he used on me, was legit easier and way better then I was expecting.

I love that dildo. I have bigger but this is a favourite - so much fun. Personally I like to literally warm up with with a shower, set to a targeted spray that feels so good. Then see how it goes. Sometimes the bigger ones are relatively easy, other times I will build up over a couple of nights. Four fingers are good to get started but not so great for my wrists or shoulders

Yeah they stay in super duper well. I’m happy walking around anywhere with all my plugs only really ever worry about the smallest doc Johnson mini falling out but the big one I would struggle to even push out purposefully! Really filling and super fun to play around with pushing when you’re just up and about or having sex. Strongly recommend. My next investment is looking to be a girth glass tail plug which excites me very much!!
