How old is your TV and what size screen?

Both 5 years old… 50” and 32”

Yes, the unit I bought does a decent job of upscaling.

Some dvds will get replaced, some will be kept!

I have a 48 inch 4k TV. Its 4k OLED, so looks very impressive. I use it to play 4k blu-rays, and my games consoles.

I think it’s 65 inch, we got it last year after we were married. It must have been really heavy because my husband had to have me ask one of my bulls to help him get it out of the box and place it. The size made a difference for sure compared to our old 55 inch.

Probably wasn’t heavy just awkward as they are so thin now and very delicate, always best to get a helping hand if you can.

I probably could’ve helped, well he asked me first to help him get it out of the car but I didn’t want to risk breaking a nail. So I cheered him on and he eventually got it into the house and that was about it. So I joked that if I wanted something done, I was going to have to call up another man to assist. I don’t know why he didn’t find that as funny as I did. :joy:

85” about a month old as the last one died decided to fill the wall with tv instead. Got a pretty mad deal (1/2 price) so was worth it

We have two, a Panasonic in the bedroom that is about 20” must be a decade old on a wall bracket with a Chromecast dongle and use it for Youtube mainly, I’ve never watched films etc.

Also have a teeny Avtex in the camper, no more than a 10”. It slides out on a bracket from a little discrete door and was fitted at build when we got the van new in 2012.

We have a 65" in our living room and a 32" in the bedroom , both smart tvs . I have a dumb tv , still LED in my office and 19" next to my 23" monitor . I also have the first tv I ever bought that is 50 years old .
The 65" is as large as I could go without moving the thermostat . It weighs nothing compared to the old tube type . I put a micro pulley right at the ceiling to assist me when installing . There is a formula to figure out max tv size using the distance from where you will view it . We use the smart tvs for Youtube a lot . Both smart come loaded with free channels to stream . About 40 years ago we had a 1.2" color hand held to entertain our son on long road trips .

@WillC Same here. I’ve always gone for quality. Granted it shoots the price up but I get my money worth out of it as I spend most of my time at home
