Here are some top tips to help you write brilliant reviews. Don't forget that the best review every month wins £100 of sex toys!
REVIEWS OF PRODUCTS FOR SALE ON LOVEHONEY
If it's a product that you've bought from LoveHoney or one that you've bought elsewhere but is stocked at LoveHoney, simply visit the product page and click 'Add your review' under the product name.
Once you've sent your review, we'll give it a quick look-over to double-check spelling and grammar (and to remove any ultra-naughtiness that our lawyers won't let us show!).
We try to process reviews as quickly as possible, but at busy times it might take 3 or 4 days for your review to be processed. Normally it will only be a few hours though. We don't normally process reviews at weekends!
When your review has been processed, it will appear on your public profile, on your account page and also on the product page.
REVIEWS OF NEW PRODUCTS
We often send out sample products to testers for review - you'll know if you've got one because we'll have contacted you about it via e-mail before sending it.
Please use this product review form to add your review and enter the name of the product given in the e-mail.
Thes review may or may not show up in your account at all - it depends what product it is - and your review will not show up on the LoveHoney site unless we decide to sell the product. So your review may never see the light of day or it may take aaaaaaaaaaaaages!
Unfortunately we cannot accept reviews of products that are discontinued or that we do not stock. They cannot be 'put live' anywhere, so will be deleted. Sorry!
TIPS FOR WRITING A GREAT REVIEW
Pretend you're shopping - Imagine you're about to buy the item you're reviewing. What questions would you ask before parting with your pennies? Think about the questions first, write down the answers, and you're half way to a great review!
Use your eyes - Take a good look at the item before you plunge it in to your pants! What's the packaging like? Is it easy to work our how to use it? Does it have any special features that make it stand out? As with all the research stages, take some notes to help jog your memory.
Dry run time - It's all to easy to get overwhelmed in the heat of the moment, so take the time to play with the item outside the bedroom first. How does it feel? How noisy is it? How does it compare to other similar toys you've tried? Again, this all useful stuff for people reading your review.
ACTION
More, more, more! - Use your item a couple of times before you pass judgement on it. First impressions do count, but you might find your opinion changes (for better or worse) after a couple of sessions.
Bring other people in to your bed - Think about what other people would like this item. Size Queens? Virgins? Your dustman?
REVIEW:
Type in all your findings from the research and action stages, cut and paste your text around until it makes sense and et voila!
OK, it's not quite that easy. Yes you'll have your 'raw material', but there are still plenty of pitfalls to avoid.
Things to leave out:
- No text speak please - try to use proper grammar and spelling
- No swearing - please don't use swear words
- Try not to be too graphic - if you want to tell the world how you licked, sucked, and arsed your way to heaven, add it as an Erotic Book Club Story. Tell us how you used it by all means (in a technical way), and whether you came like a train, but only if it's relevant to the review
- References to other sites - Feel free to talk about other sites on the Forums but not in your reviews please.
