Being single it's not really an issue but I certianly don't feel like masturbating when I'm on my period.
Sex during a period was never an issue for me and like many I was always disgracefully horny but uncomfortable, but in a good way, when i was 'On'. Now I have a coil fitted (remnants of unexpected sprogs) and while I do not need to worry about ever having a period, I don't get that strange achingly horny feeling :o(
I can quite see why it can be a turn off for many and especially when caught unawares.
I've never considered nor do I think I ever will consider having sex whilst I've got my period. I just find that time of the month very personal, yucky and quite miserable (with cramps etc) to be honest. I know my boyfriend would never consider having sex at that time either so it suits us both well.

I've not had sex whilst on my period yet and am not eager to do so, either....but I know a lot of women who do like to have sex on their period and find they are more horny and that their sexual desires are stronger then. So, you're certainly not alone.

I have REALLY bad periods, so much so that I take the pill in a row so many times that I only have about 2/3 per year. Physically can't walk with the pain so no - I wouldn't like sex on my period! Plus coming makes the cramps worse!

For me, I never would have entertained the idea mostly due to the mess/icky factor but also because I get cramps, feel bloated etc etc. However, a couple of months or so back I was quite drunk and suggested it to OH.
