Hi,
I’m male and have IBS, but enjoy playing with buttplugs and anal play, would love to try with the missus, but I am slightly worried, whenever i put in a buttplug for 20-30mins it tends to trigger me going to the loo, even though before hand there is no feeling of needing to go at all.
Anybody else with similar issues???
100% I get the same thing, it’s why I’ve had to rule anal play off. I used to enjoy a bit of anal play but the regular loo trips, abdominal cramps and subsequent pruritis ani makes it not worth it. A shame really because I used to love it when I was in the mood but it’s not worth suffering for.
Maybe you can enjoy it but limit the wear down to say 10 mins at a time?
Was hoping to try pegging at some point but wary with buttplug issues, any body tried enema or anything before butt sex?
I tend to get IBS with extreme workouts at times or if consuming alcohol. I’ve read that douching/enemas can irritate some people in there. I’ve tried a simple douche and I don’t think it helped much to be honest. If I’m looking to enjoy some anal play, I try to eat a bit more fiber and a lot less food the day before. It could be nerves and excitement too. I also don’t attempt it if I have not gone recently (within the past hour or so).
These are some good tips. I’ve not done anal play in a long time but I’m thinking of trying it again. I have a strange possible advantage if you can call it that, in the sense that I now have an ileostomy, so my bowels are not connected anymore. Long story short, I got bowel cancer (stage4) and needed emergency surgery last autumn. There’s been lots happening in my life in the past 8-9 months. But I’m thinking of trying anal play again. I also watched the series Dying for Sex featuring Michelle Williams, and I really enjoyed it. I’m hoping I can beat my cancer, but I know I have a long road of treatment ahead of me. Doesn’t mean I can’t have fun though when I feel up to it ![]()
I used the enema shower adapter, it gives a really good deep clean. However don’t over do it as it can trigger more bowel movements, and what can only be described as a poonami will follow for after wards.
Maybe try a douche bulb as these don’t clean as deep, and if you do want to use dildos stick with small dildos, like 5inch, that way you won’t penetrate the inner sphincter muscle and you may still enjoy anal penetration.
Samantha here. Iv had ibs since the birth of my 2nd child. I absolutely love anal sex and my butt plugs are my most use sex toy. We have anal sex once or twice a week. I have to prep for it 1st. I will go to the loo however many times I need to. Then take my dildo into the shower. Ill then put a butt plug in.
Ben can sometimes last half an hour in my ass and yes, sometimes it gets messy. Sorry for the tmi. Other times its completely fine. I have found that since iv started to have anal regularly, my ibs has improved.
But some PHGG, take 2mg mixed in liquid around 2pm.
It feeds the good bacteria in your stomach. I have IBS and it’s been a god send
Yeah I’ve a similar problem. AuDHD with the ever common IBS.
I can go to the loo, do a proper clean up and prep, but as soon as something is in there and moving too ‘quickly’, my guts get triggered and I need to go again.
So long as it doesn’t move too much I’m usually ok. Vibrators and even thrusting or rotating type butt plugs are ok. But If I use something like the Njoy to try to work my p-spot .. I get the urge and it gets messy.
Very frustrating.
A little while back I tested a small vibrating butt plug

I found this really interesting. Deeper plugs rarely do anything, but these shorter ones seem to hit a good spot. Especially just as I reach the point of no return. I think they might be stimulating the deep perianal nerve or the inferior anal nerve as they follow the penis into the body. So I suspect I’m missing the prostate entirely. But its still good.
likewise the booty budy hits a similar spot.
However this larger one doesn’t do as much for me. The sensations are diffused and while I enjoyed it at first, in comparison, its not as intense as the smaller ones.
PHSS? Not heard of that. what is it and where do you get it from?
Typo it’s PHGG. It’s a food supplement, a soluble dietary fibre made from guar gum.
It feeds the good bacteria in your gut, which then helps with IBS, diarrhoea, gas, constipation, cholesterol.
Start off with a small amount 1-2g per day. Basically helped clear my colon fully, as with IBS there’s always something left there.
you can get it from Amazon
