Is it worth it getting an app controlled toy?

Looking into getting a new vibe. I see a lot have apps for them. Is it worth it or is it just kinda a gimmick? Me and my partner are never really apart if it matters

I find it a bit gimmiky. Dont get me wrong, its good fun when they dont disconnect which in my experience is pretty frequently but we end up going back to the remote 9 times out of 10.

They are a little gimicky, buuuuut so much fun when they are put to use in the right way :joy:
Lovense has just had an anonymous ā€œorgyā€ we missed it but will be keeping an eye out in the future :joy:

It’s a nice add on but not really necessary so I’d say it’s more a gimmick

It depends on what you want.
We have three We-Vibe vibes, one wearable and two a more hands on. They are the Nova 2 and Rave 2 and a rather old Sync Lite that we had completely forgot about.
The App connectivity for the Nova and Rave I would say for us is a gimmick as we tend not to be apart, the Sync Lite however as wearable is so much fun, I controlled my OH in a garden centre and to watch her dancing as I secretly played with the vibes was so hot for both of us.
So I would say wearable go for it, we have not had any connectivity issues so maybe just lucky. As an alternative we also have remote controlled toys and they are no where near as good with both connectivity and connection with the vibe being given.
Lovense is another good brand but Lovehoney only offer a small range unfortunately, I have the Solace Pro and with this remotely the controller has precise control over the toy.
With the Lovense range they offer a wider selection of who can control with you being able to share links either by various Discord and other platforms or directly by the app remote.
Be warned however this does tend to be very male oriented and if your looking for an anonymous female good luck.

If it’s just for the house I don’t think it’s worth it, if it’s for an ā€˜adventurous’ night out where you can control it as and when you feel like giving your OH a buzz then go for it.

We love the app control which allows far easier adjustment of power and patterns than fiddling about with the buttons on the toy. The Nova 2 is great rabbit vibe for her, the adjustment of the angle allows the clit vibe to be positioned perfectly and the bulbous head helps keep it in place while hitting her G spot. I love restraining her, inserting the Nova then having some hands free play just watching her squirm as I adjust the vibes on my phone

Personally I love them because I can’t be bothered changing speed and power mid use. Having it at the touch of a finger is great.

I’ve got the lush by lovense and have played with it out and about with my husband when we’ve been together. Being at the mercy of him was great but he’d get a little trigger happy with the dial and just when I thought I was getting into my groove, he’d move it to slower/faster and I’d lose my moment, so to speak!

I have enjoyed wearing it out and about hoping I’d bump into a stranger who’d pick it up but sadly not! The random control feature is fun tho and to know that you’ve connected with someone in the ether to play with you gets you going tho!!

i have a couple of different we vibe toys, (jive, moxie and a nova2)

guess it depends how your going to use it, if you are the daring type who will wear it in public its worth it but if you stay in a lot maybe not,

i have a long distance friend and we control each others toys so that works for us,

i do find they can be quite glitchy at times disconnecting etc, (although has been less issues since the last update on the toys) and the app is kind of basic for the amount of money they cost,

one other thing i will say is we vibe have fantastic customer service, had a few small problems and they went above and beyond to sort them

I am more of the daring type but my partner is not. I think app based is not going to happen for me for a while even though using one is a fantasy of mine.

I uave a number of we-vibes app controlled toys.
I dont use the app, but i did notice the app ahd controls for the melt that are very simialr to the womanizer premium 1, 2 and next. So those would only be accessible via the app.

As an aside, i found using apps during sex an absolute turn off. Might be different if only masturbating.

I like the remote controlled one. I have found the app ones sometimes dont connect properly. The remotes either are in range or out of range. Less issues with remotes

Our issue with these toys, although have only tried the cheap variety from a far away place , is that it falls out when standing too easily. OH isn’t particularly loose so, it could be the toy. Anyone else have this issue at all with the real things?

We’ve got a couple of the We-Vibe toys. The app is very easy to download & Sync.
The toys work manually too.
The app is perfect for your partner control the vibrations if you prefer. I personally find the vibrations easier to control via the app when I’m alone.

Well. I have several toys from Lovense. I must say that when I bought the first I was not interested in the apps it had. However after testing it and exploring I found the app to be the most interesting thing about it, so I bought 3 more toys after that. I think 1 or 2 of the apps are not locked to the brand and you can use whichever toy you want as long as it has Bluetooth capabilities. The hability to play long distances and explore the community (specially in the early stage of it) was amazing so I would recommend any toy with app capabilities that lets you join their community rather than just control it with your phone.

Ive just bought the we vibe sync. Can anyone tell me how good it is?

I also tend to get lube on my phone when using app connected toys depending on the toy. But it all comes down to preference
